This motel is under new ownership and the focus is about building and renovations. It’ll need some time to settle down and get organised. The king room kitchenette is tight on space. Would have be better fitted with a queen bed. Exercise caution with peak season stays - the tariffs get expensive and you may get allocated a room which is just completed but the time has not been allowed to finish it and complete the snagging. The issues with our room have been communicated to the motel.

Hi We would love to give you some feedback regarding our resent stay at Cooma High Country Motel. Firstly after a long day traveling, all we required was a place to rest up before traveling on. We found the Motel to be in total disarray from the moment we arrived. It seemed to us that the booking was a issue as it took quite sometime to organize which room was booked for us. The room was very dusty and the furniture was very unstable. When the bathroom shower was used the water covered the entire bathroom floor and we place a towel on the floor to stop the water reaching the carpet (entrance). The rooms roof and walls creaked the whole time. When the neighboring rooms door closed it vibrated through out room 40 walls this happened many times. There seemed to be lots of noisy traffic moving through out the motel at night. The rose bush at the car park (outside room 40) needed to be trimmed as the small bugs that covered the roses covered us as we got on and out the car. We hope you can continue to improve your motel but at this stage we can not give your motel a positive recommendation. Thank you Wayne and Julie O'Neil

We paid $736 for one night for our family of 4, with the impression that this would be a luxury accommodation stay with a big comfortable suite, a cosy common area, open fire place, pool table etc. The accommodation unit itself was basic. Quite clean and new, but not reflective of the price we paid. It served our purpose in a business traveller style, except that we are a family on holidays. In contrast, the common area which incorporates reception is extremely run down and in need of a complete renovation if not an entire rebuild. The cloth on the pool table is completely worn and torn which illustrates the condition of the rest of the main building. There are the remnants of a bar no longer operating (unlike the image in the Wotif site showing an operational and stocked bar. There are signs to a restaurant which is no longer operating. There is a pool which is not clearly operating (containing green water). Extremely disappointing! The grounds of the property are like a construction site in varying state of repair or disrepair. We had an ok night, but at $736, this was not in any way, value for money. We asked for a partial refund but were told this was not possible.

Great place to take a break on the way to the snow , Cooma Thai is good and coffee at bakery . Clean and Massive TV if you wanna zone out after a long drive .

Fantastic Renovated Rooms Really lovely newly renovated rooms with huge TV and a great setup. Great customer service & location.
