I stayed in Coopers Beach at By the Bay for nearly 2 months (February, March 2024). My stay couldn’t have been nicer. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was new and comfy, and all amenities were available (including a washing machine and a dryer). The area is very peaceful and the beach/ocean unbeatable. The owner of the establishment, Danny, was extremely attentive and friendly throughout my long stay. To summarize, By the Bay is truly fabulous!

Really enjoyed our visit to Coopers Beach. Accommodation was excellent. Spacious 3 bedroom unit with beach views from balcony. Beach at the doorstep with Kayaks etc... to borrow, outside spa overlooking beach was a real treat. Amenities in unit made stay easier to be based here for a few days, full kitchen, dryer, washing machine, clothes racks etc... Management very easy and relaxed.

Being right on the beach with views across the bay, this place is aptly named. We had everything we needed, and the manager was friendly and helpful. Coopers Beach and Mangonui have great eating out options. The perfect place to visit Cape Reinga and back in a day. A recipe for a great holiday. Would definitely come back.

Great location on the bay with beach access steps away, and a hot tub to warm you up after your plunge. Clean, tidy, with a very comfortable bed and a washing machine to clean our cycling clothing. Wonderful to sit and stare out over the water and see Karikari peninsula in the distance.

The view is so great I can’t imagine. When you walk along the beach during the sunset, you could be melted in. If you like fishing, it’s good idea to take your rods. I caught 3 snappers within two hours on the wharf of Mangnui. Off cause the Staff are very nice and kind. They can tell you what you want to know. the rooms are very clean and comfortable with sea view. There is also a huge kitchen.

Absolutely fantastic place for a writers' retreat..awesome hosts, lovely apartments with spectacular ocean views and a hop skip and jump to the beach. Fabulous pricing, so would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

We were welcomed and shown around the apartment by our host. The apartment was large, very clean, furnished tastefully and well equipped. The views from the balcony are lovely, sitting at sunset with a glass of wine was memorable. There is a path to the beach , a pleasant walk under the spreading trees along the shore was enjoyable. Highly recommend

Have such happy memories from a stay here 2 years ago so was keen to revisit and this current stay did not disappoint. The appartment is fantastically appointed with calming views to the beach below and sea beyond (even in wild weather). Nothing like sitting snuggled inside with a glass of wine watching the waves crash on the beach below and the giant waves behind. Inside everything one could possibly need. Warm, lovely large lounge, fully contained kitchen & roomy bedrooms. A short drive away is a supermarket, chemist and gourmet butchers. Delightful Maunganui nearby and well worth a wander through this seaside with it's crafty shops and food outlets. Took a day trip to Ahipara visiting towns in between and Cape Reinga also accessible for a day visit. The manager of Bay Beachfront Apartments hardworking, helpful and friendly. Visited here with a friend and my dog. We will be back to stay at this first class motel to come home to after a days exploration.

Comfortable, spacious accommodation right on the beach. Excellent location close to great walks. Having your own BBQ on the balcony is a winner. A Super friendly host made it a memorable experience.

My whanau stay at The Apartments, Coopers Beach quite often., because of the hospitality, apartments are very clean, comfortable and the beautiful views. Thanks Danny we always have a warm welcoming and marvelous time.

The place is right on the beach, with a hot tub. Great swimming and then relaxing in the tub. Spacious accomodations. Danny is a super nice host and he will take a great care of you. The beach is sheltered, so is very safe. A great destination or a stopover on the way to Cape Reinga.

We had a break away in Northland and stayed at By the Bay Apartments in the studio apartment which was excellent. The studio had full kitchen facilities and was a great room.We had a lovely time watching the stars from the spa pool and walking along the beach.

Absolute beachfront with direct access to Coopers beach. The apartment was clean and had everything you needed from washing machine, dishwasher and lovely deck to enjoy the view. The hosts where very helpful and accommodating. Will definitely be back.

The apartments are in a perfect spot as Coopers Beach is beautiful. They have everything you need for a great beach holiday. Being able to walk down to the beach in bare feet for a swim and walk is excellent. Sitting on the deck and watching the sky change colour and the stars come out is a great way to relax and unwind from the stresses of daily life. We highly recommend a twilight spa and swim. Magical spot in New Zealand.
