We were a bit taken back by the shabbiness and dangerous building design. Here are just a few hazards: Steps up to bathroom (elderly mother falling onto the floor thinking she could walk into the bathroom), steps to get into the second building, frayed edged rugs in the cafe (almost tripping), steps over and down to enter courtyard and need to step over door frame required to enter room. The service was inconsistent and our room wasn't cleaned the first day even though we asked the front desk and came back in the late afternoon. The receptionist, that we originally met was edgy and had us pull our baggage to the luggage hold, refused to check us in and held us up from check-in until almost 3pm even though we were suffering from jet lag.
Of course there were two or three helpful people. Unfortunately, for some reason the switchboard operator tried to refuse to send up a call from my sister. A man intervened and gave us the call. We never knew who we would be dealing with. Management was missing.
