Très bel emplacement, avec une belle vue sur la vallée. A l'écart de la ville, les oiseaux sont présents matin et soir. Le personnel est très sympathique, prévenant et arrangeant.

Heerlijk verblijf gehad! De locatie is prachtig en de comfortabele huisjes hebben allemaal een mooi uitzicht. Met lokale gids een vogeltour gedaan en de quetzal kunnen zien! Bij ons huisje zagen we talrijke kolibries in de tuin. Ideale plek om deze tour te boeken. Het eten is zeer lekker en iedereen is zeer behulpzaam en gastvrij!!!!! We hebben een heel leuke tijd gehad en als je van rust, natuur, vogels en lekker eten houd is dit echt een aanrader.

Todo muy bien. Tranquilo, muy pacifico, en el balcón hay una vista hermosa hacia las montanas. Definitivamente regreso.

La experiencia ha sido muy buena, la atención personalizada, adicional se ajustaron a nuestras necesidades muy particulares ya que fuimos con caballos y nos ubicaron un potrero para ellos. La comida muy buena y la habitación muy limpias y acogedoras. Repetiremos sin duda, ya q llevamos años de visitarlo, y solo testigos de la d mejoras constantes.

Schöne kleine Holzhäuschen am Steilhang mit Balkon auf über 2000m.ü.Meer. Super Lage. Einrichtung ist gut. Antimücken-Gerät ist von Vorteil. Schönes und feines Restaurant mit Bar im Kaminbereich. Viele Möglichkeiten im Tal für Aktivitäten.

A quien no le gusta darse una escapada a la montaña y respirar aire limpio. Aquí, en este hotelito se respira eso y mucha paz y tranquilidad. Es pequeñito, apenas 6 cabinas estándar y 2 suites junior. Nos hospedamos en una de las suites: muy espaciosa y con vista privilegiada al amanecer. Está equipada con un pequeño refrigerador, coffee maker, platos, vasos, cubiertos y una pila con jabón lavaplatos incluido. No nos alcanzó el tiempo para usar la tina con hidromasaje; será la próxima. La cama cuenta con dos cobijas adicionales pero porque sabemos que aguantamos poco frío, llevamos además una bolsa de dormir que usamos como cobija adicional, por precaución. El hotel se dice que es muy frecuentado por pajareros, sobre todo que vienen del extranjero a disfrutar de las aves. Y lo pude constatar. Me levanté temprano para disfrutar del amanecer mientras veía los pajarillos pasar y oirlos cantar en la hora de más actividad. Los ticos deberíamos visitar más esta zona; tiene mucho que ofrecer: pesca de truchas, senderismo, jardín botánico, café, quesos, uchuvas y ahora hasta visita a un viñedo con degustación, aquí, muy cerca del hotel.

Clean, spacious rooms; quiet ambience surrounded by gorgeous hills and nature. The staff is quite friendly and helpful (and some do speak English). The restaurant dinner was excellent! I had the spaghetti con camarones, which prepared perfectly. Would definitey recommend! One wishlist: an EV charger!!

I came to this region along with my husband, brother and sister-in-law primarily to go birding. El Toucanet Lodge was the perfect base for our activities. It is located in the Copey de Dota region surrounded by the mountains of the Los Santos Forest Reserve region of Costa Rica. The scenery is spectacular. It is not a very touristy area. The lodge is in a beautiful location with separate guest rooms tucked into the landscape, providing lots of privacy for each guest. Waking up in the morning and looking out over the spectacular landscape was my favorite thing. The restaurant on the grounds provides a delicious breakfast while you look at hummingbirds and other wildlife. We had dinner most nights there as well. The food was terrific, and portions were generous. Be sure to try the avocado ice cream! It was so good. A short walk up the hill from the lodge, and you can see the majestic and colorful Quetzal and other amazing birds. Our room was very comfortable with a king-sized bed, small kitchen area and great views. Miguel greeted us, arranged anything we needed. He is a terrific host and person.
