Diesmal eine ausführlichere Bewertung, da gerade bei dieser Unterkunft die Bewertungen extrem polarisieren, was zu Verunsicherungen führen kann. Dabei ist es einfach. Die günstigen 19 m2 Zimmer (inkl. Bad) sind wirklich nicht zu empfehlen, während die großen 28 oder 33 m2 Zimmer ausgezeichnet sind. Also alles eine Frage der Kosten. Die Vorteile des Cherry Tree Inn sind vor allem die gute Lage zwischen Victoria und dem Airport/Ferry Terminal. In Gehweite sind die Busstationen in die Innenstadt (Doppelhaltestelle Bus Nr. 70, 72, 75), was optimal ist, da in Victoria die Parkplätze rar und teuer sind. Tagesticket kostet 5 Dollar. Das Personal ist freundlich und ich kann Wayne und James hervorheben, die Fragen beantwortet und Problemchen gelöst haben. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist typisch für Motels (es ist kein Hotel). Bett, Dusche, Kaffeeutensilien, Flat-TV, WiFi und auch ein Kühlschrank. In den großen Zimmern gibt es sogar eine Küchenzeile, Tisch und Sessel und Terrasse. Kleiner Nachteil ist die Lärmbelästigung durch die nahe Schnellstraße, speziell in den Zimmern die zum Highway hin ausgerichtet sind. Meine Empfehlung: Eine Übernachtung, kleines Zimmer. Längerer Aufenthalt, großes Zimmer.

Very tired and run down. Everything is broken, dirty, all the attempts to fix stuff are band aids. It needs a complete remodel. In the meantime maybe the owners could try deep cleaning one unit per week and fix all the broken stuff? It’s probably the cheapest motel in the area, but you should have your eyes wide open about how run down it is.

Air conditioner was broken and the best they could offer us was a floor fan. Even though the stores were open next day……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….zzz……………….

This inn has the potential, but the buildings and the grounds have been badly neglected. The bathroom floor is cracked and dirty, the blinds are held together with clear duct tape, the kitchen table is peeling, and the bedroom floor is coated in fine black soot/dust—as though it has never been washed, just vacuumed. The toilet is so close to the tub, that you can’t sit on it properly. Each unit has its own parking, but cars are parked all over, so it’s impossible to get into and out of your designated spot. Both mornings we opened the door to find a woman sheltering from the rain and charging her phone on our doorstop. The bed was comfortable and the linens were crisp and white, but I woke in the morning with 3 bites on my legs. My husband who slept in the same bed did not have any bites. Even though the price is low, this is a poor value. If we would have had bedding, we would have slept in the car instead.

$189 for two queen beds. I felt like I was in a prison cell. Furniture from a 1970’s garage sale. No art, no character, old and dated. Chipped paint and drywall obviously done by a group of drunk 7 year-olds. Had to step over my suitcase to access the mini fridge. No place to hang clothes. On the positive side it was clean and the towels were soft. If it was $90 a night I wouldn’t complain.

Needed a place to stay for 1 night and so glad we found this place. It is Cute,Clean and affordable,close to anything you might need and had very nice grounds to wonder around on. The front desk guy was great in taking in any concerns I had and fixing it right away.

The room was tiny and had no place to hang or drawer clothes. It was clean, quiet, and cheery. I found the bed to be adequate, my friend said it was uncomfortable. A fan was quiet and helped with the room temperature and “motel smell”. The receptionist was helpful when we couldn’t figure how to adjust the volume of the TV. At half the price as a brand name motel this place certainly helped with the trip budget.

We reserved a room and called for a late check-in manager said he would be there. We showed up at midnight no lights no signs no nothing we try calling it went to voicemail had the taxi driver looking all over for help no help to be found. Had to go find another room on short notice call next day ask for a refund they said there was no refund. We didn’t show up stay away.

Service was OK. Found a bed bug in the bathroom of my unit and stains on the bathroom door where there has obviously been many bed bugs roaming. Would never stay here again if I can avoid it. Would rather sleep in my van honestly.

I paid quite a lot to stay here to help an older couple move to Victoria from Kelowna and stayed an extra night to be able to relax a bit and not rush back to ferry and rush back to Kelowna. The price was quite very high to pay when the floors were pretty dirty upon arrival but then fixed and apologized for. The bathroom ceiling is really peeling and the internet was slow and the tv was tiny. It is pretty loud around us too with much banging going on. I just wanted quiet. Could have stayed at the very close by Holiday Inn which typically offers free breakfast and a hot tub for very close to the same rate I believe. Staff were friendly though but wow so pricey here for a dated and older motel.

An older motel on the highway between Sidney and Victoria proper. Close to some shopping and restaurants. Well located for our purposes and reasonably well located for short term tourism. Clean, quiet and while older, is well maintained. We have stayed here several times and will do so again in the future.
