牟特酒店(The Moat House)

Excellant service! They called us to make sure we had a table available in the restaurant hours before we were due to arrive. On arrival receptionist very helpful and the bar staff were very accommodating given how busy they were. They gave us two extra beds instead of one the room was massive clean and very comfortable with a decent bathroom and shower. The hotel itself is in a beautiful setting and so handy being literally straight off the motorway. The food was of a very good quality for dinner and breakfast and all for very reasonable prices, hopefully we can take advantage of this hotel again.

Had a very nice stay at the Moat House for a wedding. Food was excellent, plenty of parking around the vicinity and the views outside are incredible. My only gripes were the cutlery, glasses and plates were slightly dirty and the signage wasn’t very clear to navigate around the hotel, however the excellent staff certainly made up for this with their helpful manor. Wasn’t much in terms of facilities, certainly wouldn’t cater well to family’s or younger couples but very relaxing overall. Would certainly stay again for a do, or book for a venue. However wouldn’t stay for a random weekend getaway as there’s just not enough to do.

it was our sixth visit, Sad to say it fell well below what we expected . The booked evening meal was good but the service very poor due to lack of staff, and we paid the bill without having desert as table not clweared for abour 25 minutes. The room... OMG !.. very poor , near black painted with a very small window and no aircon. Additionally the bed was small. The bathroom door had faulty and very noisy hinges so the slightest movement was very noisy . Out of date bedside lamps without shades. I could go on will not. The staff what few there was seam much despirted than prevoius visits. Breakfast served or shown to table by an unsmiling ladt. Oh.. just remembered our reserved table for r the evening meal was changed.

Absolutely fantastic stay, beautiful place, absolutely spotless and breakfast was 10/10. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was outstanding. Would highly recommend

Staff were professional, helpful and very friendly. Good choice of breakfast, however would have preferred a pot of coffee instead of having to ask for a refill (minor detail)

Lovely area, quiet rooms, great hotel bar with an awesome selection of beers, and a good hotel restaurant.

Need to sort out air conditioning some rooms it is not working in we had to be moved for that reason otherwise rooms are pleasant and comfortable

Just a one night stay but lovely canal side setting, very comfortable room and really good bar and menu.

Wonderful location in country setting.Most helpful staff,spacious room and en suite. Would certainly recommend.
