Just back from my nieces wedding reception in Crover House.Saturday was a bitterly cold day and as we approached the hotel I saw a sign with established in early 1700,s. I immediately thought that we were going to be staying in an old badly heated hotel. However our fears were banished once we were greeted at the door by Liam. What a great asset he is to Crover House. The hotel was so warm, the rooms are spotless & the function room was really spacious & warm. The food was superb & the staff are in another league. They are such a great team. I have been to many weddings but I can honestly say that Crover House stands out as the best venue I was ever in for all of the above reasons. Well done on making my niece,s big day & indeed all of the guests day such a memorable event.

Christmas night away There was a group of about 20 of us the setting was really good. The bar was busy. The staff was friendly but the food let the whole night down which is such a big pity.

We had a room booked for a 50th Birthday the 8th November. From start to finish it was appalling. Most of us arrived about 1 hour early so we could have a drink and a catch up. But we were told we had to go into the room, we couldnt stay in the bar. Around an hour later they came to take out orders of a set menu that didnt have what it said on it. The children's food was a disgrace ( they couldn't eat it). The bread rolls were hard, the chicken over cooked, beef couldn't be ate ( tough), vegetables terrible, All our dinners were cold. The dessert were not great, fudge cake was a brownie, salted caramel roulade was raspberry ( one raspberry). overall the food and service was terrible. But then, when we came to pay, we had being given a price for the set menu weeks before and they tried to charge an extra 8 euro ahead extra... it was terrible experience and disappointment as I suggested it for the family.

I dined last night the 8th November at a river house. We were a large group and were not seated in main restaurant. I ordered the hake which arrived overcooked on some sort of tomato relish with small watery potatoes. I asked for some fries which never came. I also asked after the meal for a toothpick and was told I would have to go get it myself in the main restaurant by a waitress who was standing doing nothing. I was so disappointed by the whole dining experience (like everyone else in my group) as the hotel itself is beautiful. Food really has to improve along with better training for waiting staff.

I recently attended a wedding here and I must say the food and service were excellent…well done to all the team on doing such a brilliant job special thank you to Dee for her amazing hospitality .I can’t wait for the next visit well done again guys
