Considering the price paid, you get a good 4* hotel, with amazing views (from the room)!

Estupenda localizació f uera de la ciudad, habitación muy limpia y amplia, el staff dispuesto a ayudar en todo momento.

The room was extremely noisy, it was right under the restaurant so from early in the morning, we heard non stop chairs moving sound, horrible!! Swimming pool was good though

A stunning location and a very comfortable, clean hotel with amazing views from the bedroom and restaurant. Walking opportunities are limited due to the steepness of the terrain but there’s a great path down to Curral do Freitas (45-60 minutes). Service was very good but the vegetarian food was not up to the standards that we expected. Good selection at breakfast but the hot breakfast is not kept warm. Nice jacuzzi and nice, small indoor pool.Certainly worth a visit but could be even better with better food as it’s a long way to the nearest restaurant. €3.35 bus from Funchal (No. 81) but check timetables carefully

Lo staff è stato gentilissimo e disponibile con noi. Abbiamo apprezzato molto lo scenario davvero unico sul view point Eira di Serrado (anche nella camera) e la spa accessibile dalle 10 alle 19. Consigliatissimo

The hotel has some negatives, and it is in need of a renovation… the electricity panel in the rooms makes a constant noise, there are radiators whose valve literally cannot close anymore, door handles which are broken, etc. Also, the cleanliness of the room was superficial, and there is almost no soundproofing. Having said that, I would actually still recommend this hotel. The setting and location are simply unparalleled, and you stay here for those views. Also, which is important, the hotel does not pretend to be something that they are not, and it is an honest place, with the right price for what they offer. Furthermore, they do the basics well, so the bed is comfortable and the internet solid. Finally, the personnel is kind and eager to support with any requests. All in all, I would actually return.
