Nice people at reception and the staff in General . In Senegal I was pleasantly surprised by the kindness of people . The Hotel is fine for short business trips but not a place to stay for an entire Holliday.

The Onomo hotel is average by all counts, and certainly not worth the price tag they claim for the rooms. Top issue is their poor communication on booking conditions, I found impossible to change a booking period once payment was made on Agoda. The hotel refused to accept changing booking while on Agoda site, it was announced as 'flexible booking'. Turned out that neither Agoda nor the Onomo was willing to live to their words. Room are small and clean, staff is helpful, food is average and pricey. Never again.

The hotel is not worth $140 a night, It’s more Like a $70 a night hotel. I have travelled to 44 countries (IG: travelbyanymeans), and have stayed in many hotels. Pro Dinner buffer was ok, did not go to breakfast. Bed was comfortable The shower was nice and hot (Yessss) The lobby, bar, pool areas are are ok Cons 1. The sheets and towels were clean, but they were dingy. 2.The location is not good for a first time visitor/tourist. There are no bars, restaurants, etc, around the hotel. But, you can easily hail down a taxi in front of the hotel. 3. In general the staff needs customer service training. For example, I had a problem with the safe in my room. I had to go to the front desk 2 times to ask if someone was coming to check the safe. One hour had gone by. No urgency, no concern, no service recovery. I must give thanks to Ibrahim and Moda (the bartender) were exceptional. This hotel definitely has potential.

I made the mistake of allowing my tour operator to book two nights at Onomo Hotel in Dakar. You’ll be sorry if you stay here. If you want a room… -that has no tea, sugar, cup, glass, a dirty electric kettle that is black at the base and pours black specks, book your stay here. -where you make 6 trips to the Front Desk to try to fix a broken a/c, book your stay here. -that has a broken a/c and 6 agents tell you it’s not broken, book your stay here. If you want to see roaches running around on the floor in the walkway, book your stay here. If you want a hotel agent to tell you that to warm up your room, open the window—at night when it is colder outside than your room, book your stay here. Only one of the 6 hotel agents finally explained that there are three temperature options in the room—Fan, Heat, Cold. The numbers on the thermostat are meaningless. All other 5 hotel agents fiddled with numbers on the thermostat as if it was a real thermostat. In my room, the thermostat was stuck at Cold. None of the 5 agents had any idea how to troubleshoot a broken thermostat. I advised the front desk agent Yanique at 5.30pm, 7.30pm, 8.30pm and 9pm that I needed tea, sugar, a cup. He arrived at 9.53pm, woke me up to deliver them. He offered no apology. The hotel agent offered me a new room. After not sleeping for two nights because the room was so cold, I accepted the offer and shuddered at the thought of packing up my stuff at 4am on the second night. He checked the computer, wrote down several numbers. He then knocked on two room doors and wake up TWO guests at 4.45am! Stay out of here if you want a good nights’ sleep!

Cet hôtel a du potentiel mais manque sérieusement d’entretien. Des odeurs de moisissures dans les chambres humides, salles de bain qui coulent de partout, vielles serviettes jaunâtres (blanches à la base) entre autres. Le seul point positif selon moi est que personnel est sympa. Dieudonné de la réception se donne vraiment les moyens de satisfaire les clients malgré son volume de travail qui semble énorme. Youba du bar également se donne à fond pour le bien-être des clients. Il faut prévoir d’y aller avec des crèmes et pompes anti moustiques, c’est un carnage 😅😅😅.

Une catastrophe, l'hôtel est sale, pas de taies d'oreillers, insectes en chambre, serviettes sales, chambre non prête à 16h. Couloirs dégueulasses, aucune maintenance, lavabos devissés, même pas de gel douche ou shampooing, toiles d'araignées.
