Nice rooms, staff needs training
Hotel and room were very nice and clean. 5 stars for the room, location and cleanliness. Where the hotel falls short is the training of the staff. They were very nice but portly trained. Check in resulted in a duplicate rewards account being created and no drink coupons that were supposed to be included. Not sure where the disconnect was but the staff were not interested in trying to resolve the discrepancy. Next interaction was breakfast. Cold coffee, no refills, had to ask for more cream, on and on. Staff very nice when we asked, but had no idea how service should work. 2 stars since they were nice when asked, but I would expect better service at a Kimpton. Checkout was another disappointment. Desk person took keys and dismissed us. I had to ask for a folio and clear up a charge—breakfast was not included as it was supposed to be. We pre purchased that as an add on. I had to correct that. I feel certain if I had not asked, there would have been a charge I would have had to deal with later. Overall, nice facility, staff just needs training.
