錫吉里亞水園酒店(Water Garden Sigiriya)

My sister and I loved our stay at Water Garden. Our villa was beautifully decorated, and so comfortable with all the amenities we needed. Having a bath was a particular treat, and we loved sitting out on the private terrace and enjoying a cup of tea while watching male peacocks displaying their feathers, flocks of white egrets flying over and butterflies resting on nearby flowers. The team is kind and friendly, and we felt really well-looked after. Foodwise, I particularly enjoyed the freshly prepared Sri Lankan meals - rice with a huge array of vegetable currries, as well as coconut roti with accompaniments. I loved the Balinese massage in the spa too and found the team there very professional. Gazing out to Sigiriya and Pidurangala rocks from the pool was one of my favourite activities. For me, the highlight of the hotel was enjoying the comfort and beauty of the villa while being so close to nature and all its wonders.

The stay at water garden Sigiriya was out of this world, the scenery, cycling, swimming pool, pool table and spa were spectacular and highly recommendable. All dietary requirements were catered for and thank you to our waiter Madushan who was very helpful and considerate each day of the stay making our trip to sri lanka memorable, alongside always having a smile on his face. You would be lucky to have him as a waiter. All staff were welcoming, warming and were easy to contact at any time throughout our stay. This was a perfect hotel to stay at and to explore Sigiriya alongside the amazing view of Sigiriya rock. It was a quiet secluded and peaceful hotel with limited number of rooms making it special. Alongside waking up each morning, watching the golden sunrise and hearing the morning calls of local wildlife, this allowed us to be one with nature and see peacocks emerge from the bushes. Each night using the hotels telescope to look at the night sky was out of this world. Amazing stay will never forget the trip to Sri Lanka. One tip, any insects which enter the room contact your butler and he will swiftly remove the insects.

Das Hotel bzw. die Lounges haben unsere Erwartungen mehr als übertroffen. Der Begriff Villa ist hier absolut angebracht. Mitten in einer gepflegten Anlage in einer Wasserlandschaft. Jede Menge Pfaue bevölkern diese Anlage. Ein absoluter Traum. Leider waren wir auf unserer Rundreise nur eine Nacht dort. Muss man erlebt haben.

Man fühlt sich wie im Paradies: mehrere Seen mit zwischendurch ordentlich angelegten Wegen, gesäumt durch blühende Pflanzen, Büsche, Bäume. Pfauen schlagen ihr Rad (200 solcher gibts im Grundstück dort). Auf Stelzen im Wasserbereich gebaute Häuschen. Sehr ordentlich luxuriös designed eingerichtet. Personal fast peinlich zuvorkommend, einen bereits erwartend. Etwas teurer. Essen sehr fein. Unvergesslich.

Das Water Garden Sigiriya, kann man nur mit ausgezeichnet bewerten. Es liegt etwas ausserhalb von Sigiriya. Die Zufahrt ist etwas verwegen, die Sandstrasse zum Hotel lässt den Gedanken eines ausgezeichneten Hotels kaum zu, denn die Schlaglöcher lassen keine positive Bewertung im voraus zu. Kaum jedoch angekommen lässt es das Herz höher schlagen. Im wahrsten Sinne ein Wassergarten ums Hotel und die kleinen Villas herum. Sehr freundlicher Empfang der gesamten Crew. Einen Ausblick auf den grossen Felsen " den Lion Rock" im Hintergrund über den Pool und die Wassergärten wie man es schöner nicht erwarten kann. Die vielen Vogel Arten, Pfauen, wie Fische und Frösche, Reiher jeglicher Gattung lassen einem Träumen. Die Villen welche allesamt über die Sandstrassen um die Wassergärten gebaut sind, sind in der Dimension recht grosszügig und gut und sauber ausgestattet, wobei diese auch langsam in die Jahre kommen. Den SPA mit den vielen Massagen Möglichkeiten Sauna, Dampfbad etc. werden einem von den Balinesischen Masseurinnen versüsst. Ein wunderbarer Pool mit Sicht, direkt auf den Lion Felsen. Das Restaurant neben dem Pool gelegen, ist ein Traum. Nicht nur das Angebot auch die Speisen, die Vielfältigkeit und vor allem der super schnelle und freundlich zuvorkommende Service. Hier gibt es nur eine Bewertung der Superlative. Wir hatten noch die Gunst, einer Balinesischen Volksgruppe und Tänzen beiwohnen zu können, deren Tänze und Kostüme das Ganze rundum abrundeten. Hier gibt es ein 3 faches Bravo.

The photos on the website for this hotel do not do it justice. We loved staying here for 3 nights and within that time climbed Lion Rock, saw plenty of elephants and spent many a happy hour by the pool or playing cards after dinner in the bar. We had two neighbouring rooms which were beautifully equipped with a large sitting room, bedroom and bathroom as well as private terraces. There are bigger rooms with private plunge pools but we loved the enormous pool. The food was of the highest quality including 5 courses at dinner all served by the friendliest of staff. The hotel grounds are immaculate and a haven for bird life. It is worth getting up before sunrise just to hear the bird song which is deafening! (Note: you do not hear it in the rooms). One of the best hotels we have stayed in.

[FRENCH] L’hôtel est superbe ! Pour une seule nuit tout ma famille a adoré d’une part l’accueil, et l’hôtel. Nous sommes en harmonie avec la nature dans cette endroit, vous y verrez beaucoup de paon, franchement je vous conseille cette hôtel.

Hôtel isolé et havre de paix en pleine nature Un paradis pour les oiseaux Les villas sur pilotis sont très spacieuses, particulièrement bien équipées, d une propreté irréprochable, avec une literie excellente Belle piscine à débordement avec vue sur le Rocher du lion Bonne cuisine et excellent service Nous avons particulièrement apprécié l extrême gentillesse du personnel !!

Hôtel à recommander les yeux fermés ! Un écrin de verdure, une faune et une flore magnifique avec des points d'eau à perte de vue, un paysage donnant sur le rocher du lion. Que dire du personnel, souriant et agréable, toujours prêt à répondre avec plaisir à nos besoins et attentes. Des villas spacieuses, bien équipées et propres. Un restaurant délicieux avec un respect profond des intolérances et goûts de chacuns. Un grand merci à toute l'équipe de Water Garden pour leur accueil et professionnalisme !
