This is a fantastic Inn - beautiful setting, wonderful helpful front desk staff, great housekeeping, beautiful comfortable rooms and great services including buffet breakfast and wine hour daily with great appetizers to name just two. I'd give it a higher rating if I could! Also a great location in Dana Point within walking distance of delicious restaurants and the marina and beach. They truly have created a very special place!!

Very low quality hotel

We had a horrible experience the room smelled very bad and was filthy. Was really grossed out. The staff was ok. Really didn’t except this to happed based on the reviews of this hotel. Their was a big fight that happened outside our room which resulted the cops coming and we didn’t not get any sleep. After everything calmed down the delivery driver at 7 in the morning was making a lot of noise which woke us up. Then the bacon smell comes in our room which come to find out our room is exactly above the kitchen. All around a horrible experience would never come back to this place. Was hoping for a better experience.

A charming boutique hotel with a great view! The room was wonderful and the staff definitely went the extra mile!

The property is perfectly situated with views of the pacific ocean and Dana Point Harbor. It is a short walk to dining, shops in Dana Point and the Harbor.

We had a nice stay at the Inn in celebration of our wedding anniversary. The wine & cheese reception and the breakfast buffet were lovely. The common areas and grounds were tastefully decorated nicely kept. Our room was very pleasant with a partial view balcony. The property is beautiful but is starting to show its age. There were areas under the windows that showed water damage and several of the jets in the jacuzzi tub were not working, causing them to make terrible sounds when turned on. The area right in front of the inn was fenced off for some kind of maintenance/construction, which was a bummer for the aesthetics. In any case, we had a special time watching the lightning storm roll through at the Blue Lantern Inn!

Loved everything except during the evening time we get a very loud water noise from upstairs taking shower or bath.

Highly recommend for a personal experience. Breakfast included and it was delicious with a good variety. Enjoyed the wine and cheese hour in the early evening.
