When we arrived at 10 o'clock in the evening, a dozen screaming, really noisy children were occupying part of the lobby. The receptionist didn't say anything, and we had a really hard time understanding at check-in. I told them to be quiet. Their parents were on the adjacent terrace and had obviously had several beers. The fathers all seemed to be 250lb+ weightlifters and were not happy that we were asking their youngsters to keep it down. It almost went horribly wrong, and my kids were traumatized. We were stressed too, and as a host this is intolerable in a hotel where we pay $495 a night for 4. At this price, amenities are minimal and so is the breakfast buffet. The pool seemed just about swimmable but I didn't want to ask myself too many questions about it. We used this hotel as a stopover for 2 nights. Cold welcome, poor service, adequate comfort and cleanliness, but nothing more! *** À notre arrivée, à 10h du soir, une dizaine d'enfants hurlants et vraiment bruyants occupaient une partie du lobby. Le réceptionniste ne disait rien et nous avions vraiment du mal à nous comprendre pour le check-in. Je leur ai sommé de se taire. Leurs parents étaient sur la terrasse adjacente et avaient visiblement bu plusieurs bières. Les pères de familles semblaient tous des haltérophiles de plus de 250 lbs et n’étaient pas contents que l’on demande à leurs jeunes de faire moins de bruit. Ça a vraiment failli très mal tourné et mes enfants étaient traumatisés. Nous aussi étions stressés et comme accueil ceci est intolérables dans un hôtel où l’on paie 495$ la nuit pour 4. À ce prix les aménagements sont minimum et le buffet petit-déjeuner aussi. La piscine semblait à peu près baignable mais je n’ai pas voulu me poser trop de question à ce sujet. Cet hôtel nous a servi de dépannage pour 2 nuits. Accueil froid, service réduit , confort et propreté adéquats, sans plus!
