皇家七星酒店(Royal Seven Stars Hotel)

I am a frequent returning guest. The hotel is situated at bottom end of Totnes main street. It is a busy hotel and bar, serving food. The building is old with one central staircase leading to rooms. All the rooms I have occupied are very clean, decorated in a tasteful way and the beds are comfortable.. Teas are good quality Tea Pigs a small coffee machine is also provided, plus a bottle of water. I am a coeliac and vegetarian. Eating in other hotels is almost impossible,they simply do not cater for my dietary requirements,thankfully I am guaranteed a delicious breakfast here. One of the most important reasons for returning here is the customer service. The staff here are really approachable and friendly. Any issue you may have regarding your stay, they will do their best to help you resolve. T have stayed in other hotels etc if there aren't any vacancies here but from my experience if you like a relaxed friendly environment, lovely rooms, location Totnes as a base, then this is the place to come . It is also a short walk away from the most beautiful cinema I've ever been in, which is tucked away, along the main high street, My only wish is that more free parking was available . The hotel offers capacity for approx 6 cars at the rear of the hotel. There is plenty of paid parking in main street and nearby Morrisons.

Staff were amazing Arrived at 2am due to cancellation of train. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. They even allowed a late checkout considering I was only staying 1 night. Nothing was too much to ask. They see to enjoy the job and were eager to do over and above. Rooms are old but very clean. The restaurant food was excellent. Great location next to bespoke shops and few minutes walk from freedom hub. Will highly recommend 👌

Hotel gorgeous receptionist friendly and inviting room clean and just right for the cost. What let it down was the drunk member of staff whom made all guest feel uncomfortable and the fact the bar closed at 10pm as a result of this we believe. Unkempt and unfriendly welcome for breakfast the next morning which made us decide not to book a extra night and go somewhere else instead

One night stay, although I have stayed many times before. I stay because the staff are really welcoming, helpful and friendly. I stay because the rooms are comfortable, Tea Pigs tea selection, bottle of water, lovely toiletries. The hotel is in the centre if town

Having grown up in Totnes, I've known the area for a long time, and the Seven Stars is perfectly central, easy 10 min walk from the train station now moved away, and a comfy bed, decent sized room with a fine powerful shower. The door to the bathroom might need some work but this is a very old building and no issues generally!

Comfortable room and bed. Easy check in/out. Staff really helpful. We would use again. For some lack of lift/onsite parking could be an issue?

The location is fantastic but the room we had was very tired and needed repairs. The bathroom handle came off whilst I was in the bathroom. Luckily, my relative was on the other side to help me out. The screws were loose, and it had obviously not been repaired before our stay. The shower was not as clean as it could have been, pink scum around the silicone and the screen needed a scrub.The bed was very comfortable and lovely, clean linen. Tea and coffee tray was well stocked. We had to ask for toilet rolls as only half a roll was supplied. The bar staff were not over welcoming and I felt like a number rather than a valued customer A large wine was £9.50, slightly more than I expected. Bar food was ok, just average, but the chips were delicious. It was Xmas market night and I appreciate that the staff were busy but customer service was lacking, no smiles, food pushed at us and no thank you, come again. However the reception team were fab, carried up my mums suitcase, pleasant attitude and welcoming. I would stay again for the location but I would eat and drink in another establishment for a better customer experience.

Old but classic type Inn....friendly staff both at the hotel and the bar / restaurant. Bar area had a nice energy each night. Smack in the middle of downtown Totnes...on the bottom of the main street hill. Great amenities around RSSH too.

Comfortable spacious bedroom . Tastefully furnished Modern large bathrm scrupulously clean . Hope to stay again .
