藤蔓酒店(The Vine Inn Davis)

Really great location. Walkable & felt safe. Shower had lots of hot water & nice pressure. The mattress ended up being very unsupportive, which was tough on my bad back. Loud landscaping & roofing repair began at 6:45am. I had looked forward to the 7-10am continental breakfast since I was planning to hit the road early. Ended up having to go to a coffee shop a few blocks away as no one showed up to set up the breakfast or open the office until 8am- when I was driving away.

The price for this hotel is great. The customer service at reception was great. The room was clean, although the rug needed to be shampooed. The bed was comfortable to me, but some of the other furniture was shabby. There was some alarming water damage in the ceiling above the shower. Surprisingly there were none of the cockroaches or rats that Davis is famous for even though there was a gap under the door large enough for critters to get in. It is noisy. Ask for a 2nd floor room if possible. The garbage truck comes early and makes a lot noise. There is a train that goes by blowing its horn frequently. You can hear this train from miles away so that is not unique to this hotel.

The room with a king bed was large, very comfortable with desk, couch, two lounge chairs and a desk. And modern, with dimmable bed lights. Breakfast room had a very nice seating area with a sufficient selection. Great place to be even for a couple of days.

Hotel room itself, wifi and location were fantastic. Issue is when staff arrived in to open in the morning. Although breakfast is supposed to be open/available at 7am, a few of us watched staff drive in to the parking lot at 7:18. When I initially called the "after hours" number at 7:10am to get an update, no one picked up. When I called the second time a few minutes later, someone did pick up and this person informed me that "they were running late and will be there in a few minutes." It turned out to be 18 minutes late. Asides from this, all was just fine.

Friendly staff, small and quaint property that is well kept, clean and in a good location in downtown Davis. Definitely enjoyed my stay and would return.

Great motel located in the heart of college town. Quick walk to dining, coffee, campus & train station. We stayed in room 213, a corner room, and it looked refreshed with a barn door on the restroom, large walk-in shower and nice sky light. Room had a king-size bed, couch (possible pull-out…didn’t try), an ottoman and a desk with chair and an additional bench. Lots of seating. There was a larger mini-frig, microwave, coffee maker, and wall A/C. Windows had nice shutters. Ice/water machine is in the office as is the breakfast area. We didn’t get up early enough to try breakfast. Overall a fantastic place to stay for your trip to Davis.

Right at the heart of Davis, great choices for eating out, taking walks or doing any shopping. Furthermore, clean rooms, good continental breakfast, great water pressure in the shower and friendly and accommodating Staff.
