肖尼酒店和高爾夫度假村(Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort)

It was an amazing trip at Shawnee and was perfect until I saw the Pool. The pool area needs to be updated and repaired like now.

For the price I was expecting more in the room. The room was rather small, couldn’t even turn around in the bathroom/shower without touching the wall. The microwave was not in the room but in the hallway tucked away you wouldn’t notice without asking. Everything was pretty outdated, mold, cracks, dirty carpet, smells. Some of the activities has to be purchased and there were a lot of big dogs running around off the leash. I did enjoy the pool, hot tub, s’mores campfire and the wood grill pizza was delicious but small for the price. The staff I encountered were all pleasant and helpful. The guests were of a specific persuasion and some gave funny looks like we didn’t belong, newsflash it’s 2023. Overall we still made the best of it and had a good time. I wouldn’t stay again or recommend.

This experience was so bad that we actually canceled our stay and drove elsewhere for the evening. The hotel was a total bait and switch from the website-extremely dated rooms and common areas. In no sense of the word, “luxury” and was not in keeping with the grand exterior and lovely golf course. But the main issue was that it was mid April, cold and rainy and the rooms had no heat. According to the maintenance man, it gets turned off throughout the entire hotel at the start of April! Our room was approximately 60 degrees which is unacceptable period. Until this property is bought and undergoes a Massive remodel, I wouldn’t even consider staying here.

No Up Keeping or Maintenance Services! No up keeping in room: the blinds in the bathroom needed to be replaced, they were broken and didn’t stay up or down on its own without it coming apart. The fitness room was Horrible!!!! Out of the 3 cardio machines only one worked and it was rusty. The weight plates on the main workout machine were broken in 2 pieces across the board for several exercises, it’s actually very unsafe, you could only do a very light set or very heavy set of exercises. The free weights were ancient, with the plastic ripped off, it was the worse amenity in the location. The pool and jacuzzi was not working but we were able to go to a neighbor location - the Wyndham to use it. On our second day we attempted that and it was out of order and the pool seemed to be full with kids, we didn’t even attempt to do it. Stayed 3 nights, 1 King bed room was a bit claustrophobic after a while, needed to stay in the room mostly because kids running around everywhere and at night, couldn’t get away from kids. Me and my girlfriend went for President’s week and didn’t realize kids would be everywhere, even in the bar for the first night we went there just upon arriving. So if you want a peaceful getaway without kids check first before you book. Room service for cleaning was good, bartender at River Room restaurant was very sociable, the Brewery was the best part! Breakfast overpriced! One microwave was available in the first floor for the whole hotel.

I booked the Inn and was given the lodge area which had a broken ice machine, no toilet paper, nowhere to hang clothes as the closet was backed up against the bed, a shower that was a 2x2 and a very very noisy air/heat fan.

Shawnee Inn had its day many years ago, and has grown care worn. It is clean. That's the good news. Screens hanging out, sloppy paint, cheap decor in the rooms...even the ice machines don't work. But what really disappointed me was that we booked a one night stay for not a cheap price...and they never mentioned that the pool and jacuzzi were not operating. So disappointed.

Be careful chosing a double queen room. They orginally placed my family and I in the delaware lodge just because it houses the only rooms with queen beds. Well the lodge is far from the main building, very spooky (reminded me of old slave quarters yoid see in the south) and it didnt even have a ice machine! The next morning we were moved into the main building where the rooms were smaller but it was nicer. The bathroom layout is compact and the toilet paper holder is behind the toilet, which was weird*

We stayed here because it was super close to Shawnee Ski Mountain. The staff was super friendly. We received, every evening, freshly baked cookies. No complaints at all. Restaurant staff in hotel was super friendly, food was food. Also, restaurants close by.
