Nice room, great location

We were given a room with a view of their garbage area. The room smelled like mold. The mattress was in desperate need of replacing. We spoke to the staff about the room but they refused to move us even though the hotel was not full. The breakfast didn’t open early enough.

Dinner at the restaurant tonight very lack luster, squid was deep fried like you would buy from the supermarket in a 1kg bag I was expecting lightly dusted succulent locally sourced squid but got this instead, partner had dry chicken parmi with prawns…. Prawns were good and that’s where it ends dry thin chicken not enough sauce… The upside was the lovely Evie who looked after us was brilliant!!! Polite and friendly and in all fairness she wasn’t cooking so not her fault. Good for a drink but not to eat

Spent three days at the Heritage Resort on a holiday. Great central location just a very short stroll to coffee, bakery, restaurants and pub. Had the ocean view room overlooking the water with a nice small balcony. Room was a great size with a couch and table/chairs. Even had a friend over for dinner one night plenty of room. Very comfy bed. Nicely decorated and appointed. Small kitchenette area and well separated bathroom. Very happy and will stay again.

I highly recommend this absolutely fantastic accommodation. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay a good one. They even woke the chef up and got him to come up and cook breakfast for us on Sunday morning when they didn’t even offer breakfast. It was the best breakfast ever and we would definitely come back. Nothing was a problem for them and the chef cooked everything to perfection. Our evening meal was wonderful too and the a**osphere was welcoming for all. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Arrived late afternoon so dropped bags in and went straight out. Came back just before 6pm for dinner. Reception closed so unable to mention disappoin**ent with room (bathroom not very clean, fridge door all rusty). At 9pm pulled bedding beck to find what looked like blood spots on sheets. Mattress protector had what appeared to be an insect. I called the after hours number but rang out 3 times before someone answered. Man said he would come and look. 5mins later there was a pounding on my door. Upon opening the door there was a man in shorts and t shirt. He didn't introduce himself so I asked if he was from management. His answer yes you just rang me...he checked out the bed and assured me it was not an insect and that they have regular inspections but the sheets were just old. He asked me what I wanted and I answered at the least clean linen. He left and came back with clean linen and began *****ping the bed. He then offered that there may be one spare room, it was on a twin but an upgraded one with better quality linen etc. He left again and came back with a key for me to inspect the room. It had obviously been upgraded and was much cleaner so I accepted. He helped me move my luggage and left. Next morning after a breakfast debacle (what hotel doesn't start breakfast service before 7.30am) I checked out but had to explain to girl on Reception what had happened as I needed to access the original room to pick up my phone charger which was left behind. I asked why I was not given a choice of roms when I called to book, her answer...I didn't do the booking. Definitely not 4 star standard and lacking in professionalism. Stay elsewhere.

Disappointed with accommodation after 4 star rating on website. Room was large however furniture needs updating. The fridge in room 1 desperately requires replacing. It is the first thing you notice when you enter, it looks very dirty but actually is very rusty and automatically gives you an unwelcoming feeling.

GreaT location and lovely large rooms. Stayed 2 nights on a trip up North from Perth. Basic breakfast included but cooked available at a good rate in the bar. Very clean throughout. Whole place could do with a kick of paint but don’t let that put you off. Tip: if you want to eat at the Old Pearler you need to book a few days in advance. Well worth the wait though.

Hotel staff was accommodating and friendly. The location is great, right across the beach. Make sure to call ahead for dinner at The Old Pearler. Best food in town, supposedly, but small, so they don't take walk-ins.
