Looking towards next year it would be great to have something on each side of the bed to put phones glasses etc. we used the patio furniture. Also would be good to have a cot in the ADA ROOM FOR extra family

Charming little old school motel that’s been given a smart facelift while retaining the retro vibe. Love the pink and black tile in the bathroom! Rooms are comfortable, nicely if simply appointed. Incredibly friendly staff. Cottages are fabulous - great blend of cozy and plush. Terrific location a short walk to the beach. Two pools and lots of shaded seating as well. Firepits are a nice touch.

We loved our stay at Bluebird in Dennisport. So happy to find a reasonably-priced hotel that allows our dog to travel with us! Rooms were super clean and the staff was friendly. More storage for clothes and hooks to hang towels would have been helpful, but there was lots of space in the rooms. Loved the pools and the easy-going family vibe.

No at all what I expected. Yes the rooms are all nicely re-done, but they lack the bare necessities that any hotel, motel, cottage needs. No coffee pots was a BIG ONE for me. There were paper coffee cups and what looked like an electric tea kettle, but no tea or coffee. Just didn't make sense to me. They have a tiny microwave, tiny fridge, and sink. No silverware, dishes, paper towels or toaster. I had a king room with a couch/daybed. Bed was mildly comfortable. Not great, but okay. What I did not like was how you enter your room from the outside and your windows are right there. Anyone walking by can look into the room. Kept the shade drawn the whole time. Thin walls, could hear people's conversations very clearly. Bathroom had a tub shower. Was clean and roomy but the only outlet was on a wall across from sink with no shelf or table near by. No where to set down the hair dryer or curling iron. Pools were clean. But didn't like that they closed the main pool mid day for several hours to put chemicals in it. They should be doing that at night, so guests would not be inconvenienced. The people working there were all very nice. Housekeeping was confusing as to when they come and don't come. Had towels changed on the 2nd & 3rd day but nothing for the next 3 days. Had to call for clean towels. They had propane fire pits in various places throughout but I felt like it was more of a Glamping (camping with a room and not a tent) type of experience. If you are looking for amenities, this is not the place. Family stayed in one of the cottages and there was some things in the cottage that was not in the rooms and vice versa. Not child friendly rooms at all. Slippery rugs throughout and outlets in odd places. Doors not closing all the way. No playground or anywhere for kids to play other than the pool. I gave it a 3 out of 5 because of the clean newly remodeled rooms and the pools were decent.

This was our first time at a Bluebird property and it was very nicely remodeled. Room was spacious with a small kitchenette that included a microwave and fridge. Pools were large and everything was very clean. Hot tub wasn't open and the pools were cool so that was a disappointment. As was the noise level. Memorial Day weekend so it was to be expected. Dogs barking, slamming of room doors, and we could hear the people talking next door.

The Highlights: I appreciate everything this company has done to revitalize and luxur-ify these cottages. The kitchen upgrades are well done. Shower and bath - clean (although you cannot fit a transport wheelchair through the doorway). Bedding is very nice, furniture is also fine. Pet friendly. The Lowlights: Ants, where are they coming from? Well, after moving the couch a foot so we could move about easier, surprised to see all the dirt and debris. No one moves the couch to clean. Hot tub - dirty and appears rusty, jet flow very slow and low. Close it and upgrade it. Was told they would charge half our stay at check in then the balance at check out. Nope, kept getting notices on my phone as they kept charging (twice for same thing) - I was NOT COOL with this or any other unauthorized charges (no one said anything about the extra pet fees - was told "all included." Nope. For these reasons I would say "buyer beware."

Oh Bluebird, I hope you will continue to improve. This is a newly opened motel and my family stayed here the past 20 years under different owners. We were so happy to see it purchased and being renovated as it was very rundown. That being said it seems to just be unfinished at this point. Motel rooms are clean but SP****. Get ready to throw all your stuff on the floor cause there is NO furniture in these rooms other than the beds. Beds are ok but not great. One huge blind on the windows (that no longer open) so it’s all or nothing with the amount of light and air you get. What I will say as a positive is that the outdoor pool area is GORGEOUS! Lots of work done here and it shows. It was a beautiful place to relax. This place has the ability to really bring it all and it’s in an amazing location. I just hope they make it worth the price tag. $7,000 for a cottage for the week- they should be making and delivering your family breakfast with it😊. Make it great Bluebird!! Can’t wait to see how it all turns out.

This is a motel. As long as you’re not expecting more just because it has a hip aesthetic (and if you can get some kind of deal to offset the price) you’ll enjoy it! Things like coffee not being available for unknown reasons, room cleaning not happening when requested, squishy beds, paper thin walls, keys that didn’t work, and really confused staff were surprising given Lark brand and price—but we had used points and were mostly in it for the pool, so we still had a nice time. Unless Instagramability is your top priority (and even this is quite rough around the edges upon inspection), one of the other family run cape motels nearby is probably an equal choice. Also, document your payment method for checkin and prepare to be told they “have to” charge your card even if prepaid for checkin.

Really nice couple of days at The Bluebird. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and fun, updated decor. Enjoyed the pools and upper deck with most comfy chairs. Will likely return. Not our usual part of the Cape, but found it super pleasant.
