英式花園酒店(An English Garden)

Lovely home experience, very clean and nicely appointed rooms and common areas. The breakfast room was light and inviting. Breakfast was very tasty and several options were available during our visit. The grounds are neatly maintained and I loved the flowers. I wish it had been warmer so we could have sat outside in the garden and enjoyed a glass of wine. Hope to return when we visit The Cape again.Short walk to the Beach.

My husband and I stayed at An English Garden Bed and Breakfast for 4 nights in mid/late October 2023. Our intention was to get some rest and relaxation with a Cape Cod vacation. We had never visited the Cape before, and wanted to explore it during the off season, to enjoy the nice autumn weather without the crowds. An English Garden Bed and Breakfast was the perfect place to accomplish those things. We stayed in Suite 2 of the Carriage House, a second-floor suite which has one bedroom, a kitchenette and 2 French doors that open to a little balcony with a great view towards the ocean. It was a comfortable and quiet place to stay, within convenient driving distance to Cape Cod attractions, restaurants, and shops. Breakfast was simple and delicious, served each morning by our hostess Courtney. Thanks, Courtney and Co., for a stellar stay at Cape Cod!

Overall we had a very pleasant stay!! The owners were amazing and the location was awesome and convenient to our travels on Cape Cod! Our accommodation’s were very comfortable! Beds were amazing!! The only reason we gave it a four is the “small amenities” were not available!! A commercial ice machine is needed! The ice machines were portable and really didn’t work while we were there.Breakfast was good, nothing really amazing! Housekeeping was just ok! Rooms were pretty clean but could be cleaner. If you wanted service you left your tag on the door! That got you clean towels but no clean drinking glasses! A minor refresh would be better. Even with our small issues we highly recommend!

The cottage is located about 1 block from the beach. Check-in was very easy as key was provided in a basket at the front door for late arrivals. Cooked to order breakfast was very nice and satisfying. Host was very cordial. Listing is an accurate discription.

Let me start by saying: 1) The stay was fine. The bathroom sink would not drain whatsoever, but no complaints other than that. 2) This is my 2nd maybe 3rd online review ever. I don’t do this often. I stayed at an English Garden bed and breakfast from August 25th - 27th to celebrate a friend’s wedding. On the morning of the 27th I got a call from a family member informing me that my father suffered a stroke. I raced out of there and straight to the hospital where I spent the next week. On September 2nd I was unpacking my bags and realized my checkbook was nowhere to be found. I called the front desk, and they told me they hadn’t seen it but took down my number in case it came up. I got a call 5 minutes later saying they had it. They had it for SIX days without thinking to notify me!? They told me they would mail it on September 5th since that weekend was Labor Day. On the 6th I called and spoke to the front desk ‘manager’ who had no idea what I was talking about but said she would look in to it and get back to me. Fast forward to September 11th, still haven’t heard anything. I call again and request to speak to the owner, which they would not allow me to do (even though the owners contact information is framed on a desk the moment you walk in?). On the 12th I get a call from the owner Calvin, and I explain my situation. He proceeds to tell me that it was thrown in a sensitive items drawer and essentially forgotten about, and that he would mail it back to me today. SIXTEEN days later! Still hasn’t been mailed, was never notified they had it, and he never once apologized about the situation. In the meantime, I’ve had to open a new checking account, debit card, checkbook, transfer all my automatic payments, the whole nine yards. Yes, it is my fault for leaving the checkbook, I fully recognize that. That doesn’t absolve them of their responsibility to notify the customer (who paid almost $1,000 to stay there for the weekend) that they left behind a sensitive item. On top of that, to hold on to it for OVER 2 weeks when it was supposedly “mailed” out 10 days ago. Absolutely atrocious customer service, take your business elsewhere for that price tag.

We had a wonderful , enjoyable experience at the English Garden BnB on Cape Cod. As advertised, our suite was comfortable, larger than a room stay and great for couples. Breakfast every morning was delightful with a daily change in the menu from French toast one morning to eggs with meats and toast and fruit the next. Of course there was always juice and coffee also. It was a great way to start the day. Finally, a day at the beach was literally a 2 minute walk from our suite. You could not ask for a more relaxing vacation stay. We shall definitely return.

Lovely B&B. Excellent breakfast, eggs to order one day and French toast or pancakes on our second day. We had a room on second floor with a balcony with ocean view. A great place to stay for a beach vacation. We would definitely stay there again if we revisit Dennis Port.

Happy to have found this gem on the Cape. We had four wonderful days in room 111 which was perfect. Great views. Fabulous breakfast. Terrific staff. Thanks to all for a very comfortable and fun stay!

Nice inn. Breakfast was included and was freshly cooked. Location was very quiet.
