Populus樹

I will start by saying that I really wanted to like this hotel. The property itself is lovely and quite nice, but there are some major operational issues to iron out. First, housekeeping. They were on our floor as we visibly exited but for some reason never refreshed our room. Returning a few hours later and seeing this, we called the front desk to request Housekeeping to come by the room. After returning again several hours later, housekeeping still hadn’t come to the room. Ultimately, a tired-looking staff member knocked on the door and just handed me a stack of linens. Second, the restaurant.

Room was smaller than it looked in pictures. Staff at Pasque was a bit rude and had an air of superiority...for what reason, not sure? At checkout valet left our car "around the corner" so we had to haul our luggage about 1/2 a block to our car1

I absolutely loved my stay at the Populus Hotel in Denver! The location couldn’t be more convenient — right in the heart of downtown, close to parks, museums, and great local attractions. The architecture is stunning; the building’s design feels modern and nature-inspired, with beautiful touches that make the whole space feel unique and relaxing. The amenities were wonderful — from the cozy, thoughtfully designed rooms to the great common areas and eco-friendly details throughout the property. I especially enjoyed the restaurants on-site — the food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. And the rooftop was the highlight of my stay! The views of the city and mountains are incredible, and it’s the perfect spot to unwind with a drink at sunset. Overall, Populus exceeded my expectations. It’s a beautiful, comfortable, and convenient place to stay — I can’t wait to come back!

The property etc is fine and the restaurant on the 1st floor, Pasque, is exceptional. What ruined our stay was how "dynamic pricing" was done. Our room rate was listed on ******* for $258 a night. We were charged, on checkout, for the 3 nights: $258, $599, and $779!!! The ethical way to do this was to list the room for $599 a night - that would have indicated to us the actualy price. As it is, we felt thoroughly screwed, no other way to put it. For Populus a one time gain - we do to Denver a lot but will never stay there again...

This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Every detail of the hotel was perfect. Cleanliness, staff, restaurants, room…all perfect. Huge kudos to the staff and management….really amazing job!

Although the idea of the populus was very nice, being new and all - I was very disappointed with the size of the rooms for the price. My closet in my home is bigger than the shoebox they called a standard King room. The toilet and shower were so small my husband who is 6'3 barely fit!! Just something to keep in mind for anyone looking to stay here as I think its wayy overpriced. Also the bar did not offer a TV and i think thats always a nice added touch especially during football season.
