Well located quiet environment but no reception staff to help customers check in and check out because reception is linked to bar. Door lock wasn’t okay in my room which left my room half open for the whole day. Charging 5pounds per day for parking to customers is to me a bad idea

Mon seul point négatif mais important néanmoins important est l'isolation sonore des chambres au niveau des portes : toutes les portes claquent bruyamment quand elles se ferment et font trembler les autres portes des chambres autour. De plus si des personnes parlent dans le couloir, on entend tout ce qui est gênant au milieu de la nuit

Hotel was what i needed - comfortable and with quick walking access to rail station as was just a quick overnight visit. The hotel was good value (booked ahead). The room was smallish but had mostly what I needed except didnt have a bar fridge which Ive discovered many places dont in the UK. As I like my drinks chilled I do prefer to have one. The TV didnt work consistently but i wasnt fussed as didnt have time to watch it - more for background noise. Breakfast had a fairly good selection although i had to ask for some items to be replenished on arrival to breakfast which they obliged. Overall recommend for a quick stay.

It was OK, definitely a 3-star hotel In my opinion it really doesn’t need a lot more investment to bring it up from 3 stars to 4 stars, I think they can achieve it if they want to Services are good though. Nice bar, gym and sauna are alright

Amazing staff, friendly, welcoming and helpful. Big call out to Ashlet and my hungarian friend on the desk (whose name I regrabbly didn't retain) but who just incredible on the front desk and set the positive tone for the stay. The hotel has a great vibe and the chef did an amazing job with the breakfasts which were amongst the best I've experienced and I'm an old dude who has travelled lots. The seating areas by the bar were clean and tidy, maybe more thought could be given to draught beer selection as it is limited to 2 lagers. Bedroms were clean and comfy, bathrooms however are tired with little beading on the floor tiles which gives it a scruffy run down appearance. However, that;'s being a bit picky, the shower was hot and powerful. Our party of 30 all thought it was brilliant. Thanks to all at the Hotel!

Hello. We had a two night stay in this Hotel. My room was 121 - my sons was 104. On the first floor. I was given a disabled room, but actually didn't mind as it was quite large. The room was tidy and clean. During our stay, the rooms were not cleaned or made-up etc. I would have liked the coffee and milk updated etc. We had not displayed any "do not clean/enter" signs on the doors. The TV was a little temperamental - some instruction guides would have helped. Wi-Fi information should be in the room - I had to ask at the counter. The air-con was pre set - I was unable to lower the temperature. The bar area is very nice and comfortable. We enjoyed playing pool there too. We had an evening meal which was very good quality. I did find though, that every time I ordered anything, even a coffee - I was ask if I wanted to add a "gratuity" when paying. Which I thought was a bit over the top. We used the sauna, which was good. As per other reviews, I had to have my key card reset numerous times! Something I think should be looked at. Overall a nice stay - but a few minor issues could have made it much better. Staff friendly.

I have stayed here for ~6 times during business travel. Breakfast is good, with different options. Hotel needs a general overall deep cleaning (hall carpets are dirty, room carpets stained, walls with scuff marks). For the cost, which I think is high for Derby, they need to direct some funds back to hotel appearance. Staff helpful, but their computer system is very slow and tedious.

Great comfortable beds, lovely duvet and pillows. Bathroom was immaculate and plenty of towels to use. Food was lovely to eat but could’ve been warmer. Selection of pastries, cereals, yoghurts, cheese and cold means were a lovely addition. I was very surprised and would’ve paid more to stay here
