This was ideal for an over night stay, with free parking, close to Derby Royal Hospital for us to visit a relative, which was only a 10 min walk away, this saved on parking fee's and queuing at the Hospital.
The pub was excellent for food with a nice atmosphere. The carvery was delicious!
We had the breakfast too, which was good.
We would stay again, the beds were comfy and clean but it really does needs modernising and updating.

Stayed overnight, room was clean and tidy and smelt fresh. Pub is very big and had a disco on....service at the bar was quick and no queues even though it was quite busy. Would definately stay again.
Breakfast was lovely and good value for money. Freshly cooked and was really hot.

The room was nice and clean, but was a bit dated. But still pleasant enough. The bathroom was clean but there was rust around the fixtures and the button to divert water from the shower to the bath was broken and just balanced on the tap.
Slept well, but was woken in the morning to the smell of cigarette smoke, which was very strong in the bathroom oddly, wondered if the room below was smoking and it came up through the extractor fan somehow. No windows were open.

It would help if you knew before hand about check in at the pub. Walking back and forward wastes time and in the dark and rain with all your stuff is a bit of a hassle.
Room was adequate, cold til i turned heater on full for a few hours. Previous occupant had clearly punched the bathroom door causing damage which doesnt look good

Staff were lovely and more than willing to help with anything needed. Really enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately had to leave early but will definitely be returning.
