Hotel Indigo 底特律DOWNTOWN(Hotel Indigo Detroit Downtown, an IHG Hotel)

The location of the hotel is great. Walking distance to all of Detroits hot spots and public transportation. The 3-star rating is accurate when it comes to the room and property. However the staff are 5-star. We were in town for a busy holiday weekend that included several sporting events as well. Despite the very large and rowdy crowds all weekend every encounter with staff was fantastic. Friendly, helpful, responsive. They really made our stay great. Even after check out, several folks from the hotel staff went above and beyond to help us with a billing issue we had with a third party website. 10/10 will book again.

We had to book last minute after our other hotel down the road overbooked and didn't have a room available for us. Within 5 minutes I was booked and on my way over to valet. The valet & desk staff were so nice! The room was perfect for the night and so close to our venue. I will definitely stay here again!

Our shower leaked terribly on to the floor, the bathroom fan didn’t work, the AC rattled all night and our TV did not work… it had no sound and you couldn’t change the channel. Our floor also smelled of cigarette smoke as soon as we got off the elevator.

Good part of the hotel is that it had a dining hall within and food is available until 9.30pm. Parking is available which is very convenient, however, there is a parking fees.

Average stay, room was a bit on the smaller end. Toilet was broke, we dealt with it instead of switching rooms.

The Valet service stole our car off the lot for a joy ride, we watched them peel out of the lot with the car sideways while we were standing outside. The Valet service allegedly isn't affiliated with the Hotel, however it is operating inside the hotel doors and advertised by the Hotel therefore it must have a contract with hotel management or property owners. I would not stay here unless you want them to joy ride in your car in downtown detroit. They drove our car without permission both nights we stayed, we just happened to catch them in the act the second night. They apologized and said they wouldn't charge us, but then quickly left the property. We had to confiscate the keys from the valet and the next morning had to explain again that we had to take the keys from valet because they stole our car and explain why we wouldn't be charged. Not only unprofessional, outright dangerous.

This was a great place for me to support my last minute need. Very nice Staff especially Dave ( I think that was his name).

Trip was for Lions 1st Playoff Home Game at Ford Field & the hotel stay was excellent. Was very impressed with Downtown Detroit. Have no problem staying here again in the future.... Close to alot of good bars & restaurants & also the Waterfront. p.s. Coney Island Hotdog place around the corner came in handy also.

We had a great stay. Everyone that worked there was super friendly and helpful. It is in a great location for walking downtrown area. Easy in/out for valet parking. Quiet hotel at night.
