底特律米高梅酒店(MGM Grand Detroit)

The staff were so friendly. It was our 6 year anniversary and we had to book this hotel after leaving an air bnb nightmare. We ended up in a beautiful room.

Nice room with great view. Had a cool shower. The house won 🥲

Overall my stay was pretty good however we weren't informed that in order to receive house keeping you have to request it. Usually you request to not have house keeping not request to get house keeping. However the shower was the $hit..

It was not a great stay. Did not know that the staff was on strike and picketing in front of hotel/******. Yelled at by picketers. Valet not open. Had to park in ****** garage and drag luggage through ****** to hotel lobby. Skeleton crew working, however those who were working were for the most part very nice and apologetic about situation. However nothing was done to compensate for lack of service, lack of choices at ****** bar (only serving beer/wine).

Booked months in advance because this hotel was close to Little Cesear Arena. The employees are on strike which we were not aware of so every time we went to park in garage we were “boo’ed” at and heckled and we don’t gamble!!! All the restaurants were shut down, gym, sauna etc…closed! No resort so why charge a resort fee!!! Wish I never would of booked this hotel!

Check in is 4pm. We arrived after that. Rooms were not ready and we had to wait an hour for the 2 rooms we booked. For the amount of money being spent on rooms you would also think they would be clean. Shower had visible mold growth and hairs . Other tenants partying with loud music til early morning hours.

Parking was very easy and free. Staff were friendly and room service was fast. We appreciated the need to scan our room key to enter the hotel lobby and elevator as an extra security measure. It was very quiet. The two downsides were the remote to the TV had to be pointed in a very specific position and very close to the sensor to work, and the bed was so uncomfortable I ended up sleeping on the couch. If you appreciate a super hard bed, you'll like it.

The shower had mold. No daily room service- at that price should be every day. In the middle of nowhere Detroit. They screwed up my parking- and the person tried to explain to me I was HANDED the wrong ticket- I suggested they tell the valets not me what ticket the guests should get.
