奧肯頓莊園酒店及Spa(Ockenden Manor Hotel & Spa)

Nice hotel but not good value. We arrived after a very long drive (6 hours because of traffic on M25) Managed to find the hotel situated down a side street in Cuckfield, parked up and then tried to find reception. It is through an unmarked door facing the car park, obviously the owners know where reception is so don't need signage. The grounds are not as park like as the pictures suggest Just for context, we have stayed at both the sister hotels, Bailiffscourt is far nicer This hotel is ok, the staff are good and the food was good but I don't think it was good value for money, It wasn't the most expensive place I have ever stayed it but it was expensive for what it was. We stayed two nights and ate in on the first night. For two people it cost me over £700 but it didn't feel very special. Free cookies aren't enough for me

Me & my wife visited Ockendon manor 7-8th July. This was the first trip away since having children 7 years ago. I paid £550 for 2pm on fri to 2pm on sat with 3 course dinner & breakfast. It’s reviewed with that price in mind. I would rate it as:- Spa- 6/10 Hotel- 7/10 Room- 7/10 Restaurant- 6/10 Overall - 6/10 The hotel is styled as vintage luxury & was nice if a little tired looking. Our room was big with a separate lounge section. It was lovely & cool on a very warm July day. The bed was very comfortable. The hotels grounds are in a beautiful country setting. The spa has a nice indoor/ outdoor swimming pool, an outside jacuzzi (which was literally too hot to sit in), a sauna/ stream room & a few other little bits & bobs. Our first day was lovely weather so we spent it outside & in the pool which was great. The next day was rainy & the limitations of the spa were exposed ie not enough indoor loungers & not much to do. The restaurant food was nice but the portions were small & it is insanely expensive at £60 for 3 small courses. There was also a £10 supplement for the beef & side courses (which you def need) were £5. Overall this felt overpriced for the quality on offer. Breakfast was much better. A decent selection of cereals, juices, croissants & a good quality full English. The waiting staff were all very friendly in both services. Overall I’d say if spas are your thing & you get a good deal/ are lucky with the weather you may have a lovely time here. Paying full whack on a dodgy day you may come away feeling a bit hard done by!

This beautiful manor house was our first stop on a 17 day driving trip through the South of England. We drove directly to Ockenden from Heathrow and were greeted warmly with rooms ready and inviting areas to relax in. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated (though we were reminded that king size beds are often the size of a queen back in the USA.) Throughout our 3 days there, we were impressed with the competent staff and friendliness of the atmosphere. (By the way, it was not hard to find, as mentioned in other reviews. It is within the village of Cuckfield and our GPS led us right there.) We had a lovely daily breakfast in the airy dining room and had dinner the first night there. The menu was varied and the 4 of us enjoyed several different and delicious options. The grounds are amazing and scrupulously maintained. We wandered through them and sat outside at tables on the grass. The village is an easy two blocks away and provided some fun browsing. Our one big tip is to plan time to visit High Beeches nearby. It was spectacular at this time of year and a very natural type of garden acreage that you don't often get to see.

The Spa and all that work there are simply perfect. The area is kept spotless throughout the day so everything feels brand new and you never have to ask for anything. Plenty of towels, robes and slippers always available and the indoor and outdoor swim through pool experience is heaven.

Excellent hotel and lovely spa. Highly recommend. Very friendly staff and delicious food. Very easy to get to from Haywards heath station. We had a relaxing couple of days and would definitely stay again.

It was a lovely relaxing short break. Nice indoor & outdoor pool even in March. Not happy with choose of evening meal. I’m a vegetarian & have an egg allergy. Neither of which are unusual. One dish suitable & only sorbet for dessert. Breakfast a lot more options

The spa here is lovely, really enjoyed making use of the facilities there. However the hotel was all a bit average. Opened the bedroom window as it was too hot, then had the hum of extractor fans all night and not a very comfy bed. No atmosphere in the restaurant, just silence, bit awkward.

We had a lovely room. The spa is fantastic. Food is very overpriced for what you get. Beware of the discretionary service charge!

Beautiful hotel, it was our second stay in two months - we love it yhere.
