A very antique building but very cozy. The rooms are small but well maintained and nice amenities. The food at the restaurant is very good.

Small double (102) near function room which was a bit noisy. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice cold and hot.

When we checked in we asked if the room was small.The guy said yes it was snug. Yes it was very snug and not ideal for getting ready to go to a wedding. There was no dressing table and mirror to see my outfit. you could hardly walk around the bed, for £180 we were very disappointed. We asked if we could upgrade but they only had a family room at £300 per night so we refused this.

Wonderful stay- the staff are attentive, friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful and the breakfast team efficient and kind - nothing was too much trouble. Our room was fabulous, loved the free standing bath and toiletries! We will most definitely be back. Free parking was a bonus as can be tricky to park in the town centre. Really great hotel, wish we had been able to stay longer! On-site general manager was fantastic- really helpful, informative and went the extra mile

Clean,smart, everything you could need.

Breakfast……, everything available but somehow JUST missed the mark!
Tables floors & handrails in the breakfast/dining area sticky & chairs uncomfortable …
This is a very popular pub
