塞夫頓酒店(The Sefton)

Front of the hotel looks great and the breakfast is nice but everything else is pretty bad. Internally the hotel is so tired and run down. The sofa in the room was disgusting. 40 years ago the hotel would have been amazing but sadly not anymore

The hotel is old and has character. Room 221 is spacious but the two windows look out onto a one metre square 'inner space' which means no view at all. The bathroom is massive with a shower and bath but the shower is stainef orange and black with mould and fungi so we didn't use it didn't look sanitary. The website states daily housekeeping but that is open to interpretation. Given it as 4 star hotel you would hope the room would be made up daily; after all we went away for rest and relaxation. However there is a laminated notice placer carefully oon the bed stating rooms are serviced every 3 days which happened to be the length of our stay so wenever received te service. The reasoing is said to be so staff oonly enter the room on limited occasions but you can ring them for tea bags etc. In essence the room quality in terms of maintainance and the provision was 3 star without question, but the staff themselves and the food were 4 star. Poteentially a lovely stay but not as anticipated.

A very enjoyable stay, room overlooking atrium was fabulous, bed comfortable and breakfast at Harris restaurant excellent. We also enjoyed a super meal at Bonzai Asian restaurant.

Das Hotel war alt aber gemütlich. Keine Steckdosen befinden sich neben dem Bett aber eine Badewanne fand ich schön.

Staff were friendly. Location very good property very tired with broken fittings in room, stained carpet and cracks on wall. Pool area smelt heavily of drains. sauna and steamroom were not operational. Not a 4 star hotel

Nice hotel, large rooms, good, friendly service. Furnishings and decor are old and over used.

Awful!! Dirty, noisy, will never come back and 2 star, not 4 star!!

The pool was not operational and this is an invitation to treat under consumer law. Staff cleared my breakfast when I got up for the cooked part from the buffet. Harbour lights only open whilst 8 , movement in hotel difficult due to works going on outside the entrance

Advertised as seaviews or balcony to atrium, my room had none of these. Window looked out to a wall with scaffolding and roof of a theatre. Wifi was very poor quality. Cooked breakfast was dried up black pudding rubbery sausage not very warm beans etc. Continental breakfast was poor aswell with little choice. Staff were not very helpful when asked about local transport for day trips etc. I could go on and on. Not worth 110 pounds per night. Went for breakfast 2 out of 4 mornings because it was that bad. Advertised as a 4 star spa hotel didn't even have its own bar and spa was closed. Official complaint going into BESTWESTERN about this.
