The rooms and environment are beautiful and clean. The environment is quiet and just what we wanted. The only thing I would say is maybe the curtains can be darker and the glass on the doors can be covered…the room is very light at night.

The staff was nice and friendly. The grounds were beautifully kept, and the the proximity to town made commuting effortless. Additionally, I enjoyed the the breakfasts - a great way to start a day. Our room didn't meet expectations due to: - Noise from adjacent dining area (lack of soundproofing) - Missing essentials (toilet paper) - Faulty bathtub plug - Broken window allowing cold air in - Mold on the bathroom ceiling We hope that our feedback will help address areas for improvement.

Disappointing stay. Broken floorboards in the room a dangerous trip hazard Noisy plumbing ! The pipes would rattle and groan so loudly it was horrendous Hand towels used as bedside mats on wooden floors were not a good idea Spa treatment was unacceptable. The lady doing my pedicure was completely blindsided when asked to remove gel polish. Was given a 20 minute foot rub when I had booked a one hour pedicure Breakfast while tasty was not suitable as we were not given any options just had the food plonked down on the table. If you allergic to eggs you’re in trouble Asked for breakfast at 8 …after many requests it finally arrived at 9

What a gem!! Loved the room, especially the fireplace, and the breakfast was really good as well. A special thank you to Margaret who went out of her way to help and to ensure that we felt welcome and at home.

Lovely place to find yourself again after a hectic week. The peace and quiet is food for the sole. Just one request Dullstroom must just update their maps on google maps...there are so many roads showing that doesn't exist

It was an absolute pleasure staying at the Highland Rose Country House & Spa. The rooms were awesome. The staff were professional and very friendly. Breakfast was great. In summary, we will be back soon.

We stayed two nights and was spoiled by the service. Rooms are neat and clean, breakfast was more that perfect. Haven’t had a great omelet like that at any restaurant. Old house with the beautiful stained glass and surrounded by lush gardens is fitting to the name The Highland Rose Country House. Spa is well equipped and had a great back massage.

Beautiful surrounds and brilliant service. Carol and her wonderful team cater to individual needs and requests. Worthwhile experiencing some olde world charm in a setting of beautifully maintained gardens

We spent two excellent days at the Highland Rose Country Rose where we were able to see the sights of Dullstroom, experience snow, and have two delicious breakfasts. The house itself has an old world charm to it with original fixtures and beautiful stained glass windows and window seats. There are some elements that need an update but I'm sure the new owners will get to it soon enough. The rose garden weren't in bloom because of the season but I am sure it will be beautiful in the summer. The snow made the place look like Narnia! Follow the written instructions provided because google takes you on a 4x4 route through the countryside.

The setting is nice and quaint with a pretty garden .Unfortunately very average spa treatment. My wife had a reasonable masseuse but mine was well under any standard. Breakfast nothing to write home about and accommodation is fair. The road to the House is also a bit away from the main street in town and I wouldn't suggest walking it after dusk.

Beautiful house with spacious rooms. Fridge in room with tea and coffee making facilities. Staff friendly and helpful. Tasty breakfast served. Nice touch was the underfloor heating in the bathroom. Staff assisted with early check in and late check out.

We stayed in the Bramble cottage it was very cozy. We would just have preferred to have a shower and not bath converted into a shower. The massage was amazing and food was good. The gardens are beautiful and we loved the antiques in the house.

Dullstroom is very cold but there was no electric blankets OR WiFi. The curtains were hanging down in places and there was no side mats next to the bed, the wall heater had a large crack in it(it did work however). The first night the bath water was scolding hot, the next night freezing cold, so we tried to have a shower only to find the shower head was broken and fell apart when we turned on the water! Breakfast was a quiet affair as we were never asked what we wanted it just got put in front of us without a word spoken, when we asked the housekeeper a question she just shook her head indicating she didn't know. On parking inside the property we had to manually open & close the large driveway gate as it had no motor and was not lockable (if it was we had no key or instructions on how to lock it?) We did however enjoy the heated bathroom floor and the massage (which was included in the price) It was my girlfriends birthday treat -- a very different one

Stayed here for one night on the way to Kruger National Park. Room was great and conveniently located near the center of Dullstroom. Check in staff and welcome was smooth and efficient. Will utilise again if the requirement arises.
