Carpet gathering by the elevators. Lobby is nice and clean. Rooms need updated but were clean. Fire alarm went off at 6 am and that was pretty inconvenient. Not sure what the issue was, but took about 40 minutes for them to be turned off. TV only had some Chanel’s - would love to see some more streaming options. Hallways were hot.

This hotel is centrally located and close to shopping, restaurants, etc. Neat and tidy exterior and lobby. General manager very nice and accommodating. Decor is very dated for a 13 year old hotel. Looks like it was decorated in the 80's. No hot water for showers in the morning.

This was our third time staying at this place and we came early to check in since the last few times we came late and it took a while for someone to appear. We like this hotel since it's close to VCU and other places like the Lewis Ginter gardens. It's also quiet and comfortable. When we stayed this time, I noticed in the afternoon that an elevator wasn't working but it seemed it took a while for the staff to either notice or put a sign up. When we went out in the evening and returned, a sign was there. That was the only quibble I had about our stay and it doesn't impede us from staying again if we come to Richmond soon.

Lights and electricity went out I couldn’t charge my phone or any devices I couldn’t iron my shirt and pants for a conference I had in the morning at 6am the front desk said it will come back on 1am or 4am there was no compensation

We stayed at this property on the way to Myrtle Beach. We arrived early around noon and they were able to get us in a room early. The place was clean and everyone was friendly. Coffee and water is available all day. The breakfast was very sufficient. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

When we checked in, although the lady at the front was pleasant, she asked for my last name, handed me the room key and didn’t say anything else. Also when we got to the room, the cable wasn’t working properly. I called down to see if someone could come fix it and she stated no one was there to help but she would see and then never called me back. Not major but could have handled it a little better. I also asked for a receipt to be emailed and never got it. I liked that breakfast was included and it was very clean.

This is my second time staying at this hotel and I will say that I do wish if the front desk isn't going to be manned, they would leave a bell to ring or some way to grab someone's attention at night. If no one's nearby and I'm waiting to check in, it's hard to know how long I might be waiting.

Very happy with the Hampton Inn Richmond. Great staff and service. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Good neighborhood with plenty of dining options. Not cheap but not too expensive. Highly recommended.

Check was super easy! Staff amazing! We actually had to switch rooms because of an odor in our first room! The front desk clerk, which shout out to her she was happy and patient, was able to switch us! The new room was clean comfortable and the stay was great

We couldn’t get keys, which was a huge problem waiting to be escorted! The Wi-Fi would not work! The breakfast bar was scarce!!!!! The worst Hampton inn we have ever stayed in. The ownership put the staff and patrons in a very unsafe position . We did not sleep well as a result!!

Terrible check in. Even if systems were down and we couldn’t be checked in officially, calling the room at 1:30 in the morning, multiple times, to insist that I come down with a credit card (the system was now up) was unbelievable.

Stayed for a short overnight with the family, while driving through. Staff was amazing, very clean, breakfast was great! Will probably stay again on the way back! Thanks!
