Bluestone is a boutique hotel within 5to 10 minutes walk of the centre of the cbd and is on George street with all of its lovely stores and cafes. The hotel Is so well maintained there is not a thing out of place. The hedges and bushes are manicured and this care is evident everywhere in terms of how clean and well maintained everything is. The rooms are really warm and comfortable and they have all the little things taken care of that make a trip. The bathrooms are clean and modern with good water pressure. in shower that is above a fabulous spa bath. All rooms have access to wifi and sky channels. The reception has a lovely lounge with great views and drinks menu. The tariff is excellent and value for money. The only aspect that could be considered is a coffee pod machine in each room. We will return. It is truly a wonderful experience.

We could only stay 1 night, and it was such a short visit, and we wanted to stay longer because we like Dunedin. We stayed in The Loft on level 4. I have travelled a lot, and stayed in some beautiful places, but this wonderful little find was FANTASTIC! I have never in my life stayed in a studio room that has a washer/dryer, that in itself is genius and very smart. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and it was a welcome after a very long day driving. Neville & Sandra have done a great job, and that is evident in the presentation of the room. This is a quality hotel, and would absolutely recommend Blue Stone on George to any traveller. Thank you Neville for your restaurant recommendation, and I am currently trying to buy one of those dressing gowns you provide your guest! We enjoyed our stay very much.

A very warm and comfortable apartment with outdoor seating front and back. The quality of the room and fittings was very good. There was off street parking. It was walking distance from the octagon. It had a washing machine which was also a dryer.

Wonderful place. Super walkable to lots of bars and restaurants, and the parking lot on site made it easy to stow the car. The owners were incredibly kind, and when we mistakenly left something behind when checking out, they tucked it onto our car windshield for us. Nice room with a washer, HUGE bathtub, comfortable bed, and a little balcony. Would absolutely stay again and recommend it if you're looking for a place in Dunedin!

Excellent . Neville and Sandra go above and beyond to make the stay fabulous . Spotlessly clean . Jacuzzi bath . Bed is large and comfortable with great pillows . A small balcony is fun and our room was light and airy. The kitchenette had all that we needed including a washer dryer . The setting is central for town . We loved our stay here and we would definitely recommend .

The decor is calming and exceptionally beautiful. Attention to little details demonstrating the care with which the hotel is run was noticeable such as the embroidery on the pillow cases. The spa bath was luxurious and upmarket. My only criticism is that it would not be easy for someone with mobility issues or short legs to get into and out of the bath/shower

The Bluestone well deserves its high rating. The room was spacious and attractive, the bed was comfortable, and everything in the room was well thought-out and maintained. The view over the city was a plus. Unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy the outdoor terrace.

An extraordinary little hotel! The rooms are wonderful -- well thought out and beautifully maintained. The entire facility is immaculate. The owners Neville and Sandra are gracious and on-site, and it shows: the rooms reflect a careful attention to detail that can only come from someone very familiar with them. In some hotels, you feel the owners have never actually spent a night there, because certain obvious needs are poorly addressed -- this hotel is the opposite of that. Each room feels as though the owners have spent time there, thought about what an occupant might need to be comfortable, and made sure those things were taken care of. The bathroom was great, with a wonderful spa tub; the kitchenette was clean and functional; and the room had a clothes washer! How cool is that?! Truly an extraordinary hotel..

It was a very convenient location. Good car parking and was one of the most spotlessly clean hotels we’ve stayed in. Room was nice and quiet and very well appointed. Added bonus was the nice spa bath. Would not hesitate to stay there again. Friendly staff too. Highly recommended 😊

Easy location to get to when coming from the north (you don't have to drive through the city). Located on George St. which means walking down the street brings you right into the centre of town. Lovely hotel - large rooms - friendly/helpful managers - nice lounge - ample off street parking - dvd's available for use on the entertainment system in the rooms - washer/dryer combo in rooms, so you can catch up on some laundry. Definitely recommend staying here when in the area.

Very clean and well run with central location. Many good restaurants and pubs are in walking distance. We appreciated the washer and dryer (and drying rack) and balcony. They have a lounge and plenty of parking.

Absolutely immaculate. Beautiful, high quality furnishings and very tasteful rooms. Lots of thoughtful details; nothing has been overlooked. The owners are clearly working extremely hard to run first-rate accommodation. We appreciated the in-room washing machine with detergent provided, and being able to borrow a rack for drying. Sound-proofing between rooms seemed excellent. Parking was easy, with a shortish walk to Dunedin's facilities. Outstanding, and recommended without hesitation.

This place is exceptionally well crafted in a good location in Dunedin, NZ. Every aspect of the lodging is first class: SS counter with refrigerator below and sink in counter.
