We got there at 10 o’clock and couldn’t find anybody in the office and couldn’t get to our room we had to stay at La Quinta and pay $305as an emergency could not reach anybody to respond to us for checking in."

"The hotel is conveniently located on US Highway 160, a little outside the town center; quite quiet, but surrounded by rather unspectacular mountains. The Sleep Inn is in a complex it apparently shares with the "Mainstay" brand. Check-in was quick and very friendly. The room was up to the usual Sleep Inn standard: modernly furnished, everything very clean. The breakfast room was very quiet at 7 a.m., and the buffet offered the usual standard fare of scrambled eggs and sausages, toast, and waffles. Not really good."

"While I can't complain about the price of this hotel. It did not live up to the expectations that I had. Location wise, it's near a fairly busy street and not only are the walls thin but there are gaps in the door so I heard every time a car passed by along with all of the commotion that happened outside. Additionally, the photos that you see on the hotels website and reviews don't accurately portray what the hotel looks like in person. It feels like this hotel was attempted to be renovated and got halted somewhere in the middle."

"New hotel downtown within walking distance to all the action. The room was good size for the two of us. Everyone was really friendly especially the person who worked at the breakfast. The only problem is that the cost was very high once taxes & fees (parking) were added on. Prior to check in cost was around $200 a night for standard but after checkout $300 (night)! My thinking (next time) would be to stay outside of downtown. For the price I paid a night there was a view of the hotel balcony next door and the irritating thing was hearing entry door(s) slam very loudly (all day/night) at nearby rooms. We tried our best to close our door slowly so not to disturb others. Note: from what I could determine it wasn't really the guests fault. The door has old style (slam) close that most hotels went away from but for some reason this Hilton gave it a go."

"Amazing spot! Right in the hub of all the life in Durango! Great parking. The hotel itself was part of the visits fun. We walked around one night looking for something to do, but around 8PM things tend to close down in Durango but it turns out the hotel had to fun we were looking for. We walked back to the hotel and heard lively ragtime piano music coming from the hotels connected saloon. We walked in, found a chair, and cheered along with the rest of the crowd enjoying the music and stories of Adam Swanson."
