The best thing about the place was the restaurant which has a lovely setting. Very few rooms have a good view - most look onto the parking lot which make it impossible to change without closing curtains. Bathroom had piles of dead insects and opening the window was not an option due to the smell from outside. The bed was very comfortable but there were fleas on the bed cover (from the friendly cat?). Once I removed the bed cover I stopped getting bitten. I did like the provision of a fridge and microwave in the room. I may go back on my next trip but would probably look at alternatives first.

Stunning and peaceful venue with helpful staff willing to do “that extra bit” On site restaurant is lovely convenience and the rooms are neat and properly serviced We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Besides Still Waters. The settiing is delightful and we spent many happy hours in the garden enjoying coffee or meals. The staff were pleasant, helpful and professional. We will be returning.

the toilet was yellowish, toilet rolls they count how many they give you. The service at the restaurant as well was poor. we felt like we were at high school everything you do you are watched.it was a great area to stay at but not the good service we got.

The best part was how the gate opened up to a magically lit garden, we arrived at night so it felt like being transported into a quaint little fairytale. The mood and staff are all so welcoming. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back again.

We were apparently upgraded which we were grateful for. The booking process is a concern as you put your credit card details online and it’s sent to the hotel - with your CVV number. But they don’t actually deduct the fee so when you get there, you have to pay as they didn’t actually deduct any money from your credit card. I used a credit card for the booking. So, you’ll need to check your credit card first. What’s the point of taking the card details but not the actual money and what if my full card details got into the wrong hands? Where’s the data protection in this process? The light bulb outside is right by the door which filtered into the room via the GLASS sandblasted looking door so we could not really sleep with the light streaming in. The frogs is an element we were not accustomed too and was noisy. Be very wary of limited parking spots on a slope with trees blocking part of the parking bays resulting in a bird poop window as we navigated our way out of the narrow drive. Cleanliness was fine for the price. The WiFi signal was slack - overall, my UK guest was disappointed as was I.
