Exactly what you'd expect. Functional, comfortable, good location for airport and train station, and reasonable price.

Just what you would expect from a Premier Inn. Although based at the airport this hotel is nice and quiet with ample parking. The room was clean and the much needed air con worked well. Breakfast was the standard buffet with plenty available. The restaurant was clean and everything regularly topped up. Would definitely use as a base again as attractions are easily accessible

We needed a hotel close the airport at last minute and we’re lucky enough to get a room at the Premier Inn. We have stayed at many Premier Inns before and this was the same great service as usual. Great night’s sleep, great staff, handy location.

I don’t normally report negative experiences but this might help someone else. Shabby and dirty unfortunately. Wooden floor in dining room was black with dirt. Carpets black with stains. Under staffed, staff were stressed but very accommodating and trying their best. Hotel looked like it hadn’t been decorated since it opened. It struck me as people will put up with it because it convenient to the airport. Considering what we paid very disappointing. We tried to take avail of the early check in we were offered via email only to get to the hotel around 12:30pm and be told none of the rooms are ready and the luggage holding area was full. We were offered to wait in the bar but it was full also. We waited around the hotel and finally got one room to check in early at 2:10pm but still got charged the early check in fee even though check in was at 3pm, We only checked in early so we could have somewhere for our bags and had already waited that long.

I stayed at the Premier Inn, Southampton Airport on Saturday 19th August '23 and could not recommend this hotel enough. The food is great both in the morning for breakfast but also the evening meals. What made the stay extra special was the help I received from Syful Islam. I had left my passport in the taxi on the way to the hotel. Syful flagged down another Hackney driver and worked with the taxi driver to put a message into the local Hackney Taxi drivers WhatsApp group to see if any of the drivers could find it and in the event the passport was not found, Syful gave me great advice on how to report a list passport. Syful also contacted a friend of his who was a union rep for the hackney's in the local area and sent him a message so he could then send it to all of the Hackney WhatsApp groups. As a result of Syful's tenacious approach the taxi driver got in touch and brought back the passport to me at the hotel. Syful was very busy already and this was probably the last thing he needed but despite this went out of his way to help in a situation that was not of his making. I'm very grateful for Syful's help and the next time in Southampton I will be staying there again.

Some positives-Very very handy for Southampton Airport and the railway station. Restaurant on site (not a pub chain one that you would usually swerve). Ample parking (in my experience). Standard okay Premier Inn room. But Premier Inn is not really a budget chain anymore and there is a serious issue with lack of trained staff. It does feel like everyone working here is on their work experience week from a local sixth form college. You are encouraged to check in using automatic machines but some were broken and reception were "helping other customers" away from the desk. And there are two reasons why you need to speak to humans. Firstly, for some reason they seem to struggle with the concept of walk-ins at the restaurant and want you to book at reception. Secondly, the car park requires use of a QR code voucher, that can only be provided by a human at reception at the point of departure. Therefore the empty reception desk is a PITA.

Ideal location for people travelling to visit paultons park with family. Room was adaquate but wasn't very clean, there was empty pop bottles under the bed and cobwebs around the ceilings. The reception was nearly always empty so couldn't raise this issue. Would potentially stay again though just for the location..

Overall clean, friendly and efficient. Decent breakfast, good location. Only drawback was the ease to self book in. In general a good experience. There is some noise from the rooms facing the airport. Also noise on the side facing the road bridge over the railway.

Stayed here for 1 night. I was concerned about noise from the airport, but it was not a problem. The triple glazing saw to that. Very easy transport links by road, and rail. All of the staff were helpful and friendly.
