I would rate De Reehorst as somewhere between a three and four star hotel. The ground floor looks quite interesting although I did not make use of the bar or restaurant. The room I stayed in for one night was pretty basic. The best thing about it was the television. The pillows were uncomfortable and the bathroom has seen better days.
Stayed for 3 nights on a Leger Holidays tour to Arnhem. Having had a bad experience at the Fletcher Hotel at Doorwerth-Arnhem we were a little apprehensive of staying here. However we were pleasantly surprised! Room was of a fair size with decor in the mode of a British Travelodge. There was a safe but no fridge or kettle. Our room had a balcony but as it was on the first floor and directly above the hotel entrance where the smoking crew gathered it was rather spoilt by smoke drifting into the room when we tried to use it. Perhaps a designated smoking area away from the entrance would be a good idea? There was plenty of sockets in the room but only one adjacent to the bed. Limited wardrobe space but enough for a 2 or 3 night stay. Bathroom had a bathtub and powerful hand shower but the lighting was fairly dismal. Housekeeping was a bit hit and miss, we requested fresh towels which we received but the old towels were not taken away. We were disappointed that the main bar was closed during our stay but the restaurant staff were happy to serve drinks in the lounge area next to the restaurant. Reception staff were also obliging. Lovely indoor swimming pool and the area was cleaned every morning to high standard.
