過路人獨立旅舍(Wayfarers Independent Hostel)

Just spent 4 nights at the Wayfarers hostel in Penrith and I'm so glad I did. Very clean warm and welcoming establishment, very well run by helpful folks. The communal kitchen is a great idea as you can save money by buying your groceries at the Penrith Aldi (10 mins walk away?) and cook your own meals. It's also a nice opportunity to meet other "outdoors" guests who are staying there, over your morning (& complementary!) coffee for a little chinwag, sharing tips on good walks etc. It's also quite near the Penrith bus station where you can catch the X5 bus to Keswick (40 mins journey) for the beautiful Derwent water lake or as a good starting point for a trip to the rest of the Lakes. That bus journey alone is worth it for the stunning views! And the prices at Wayfarers are extremely good - definitely going back next year!!

We stayed here for one night as part of the C2C. Lockable bike storage with tools and equipment available, fully equipped roomy kitchen facilities, lounge with TV, comfortable twin room with en suite wet room, everything we needed and close to town centre, absolutely ideal, very clean accommodation.

We stayed here for two nights on our way to Scotland with our two daughters aged 7 and 4. The room was very clean and the beds were really comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for making breakfast and there were lots of nice places to eat dinner nearby. The owners were very helpful and gave us lots of great tips on where to eat and places to go walking that would be suitable for the girls. A great stay, we would highly recommend.

Exceptional place to stay. We hired the entire hostel for a school trip and it was just perfect. Great kitchen and livingroom spaces to get the group together, clean and comfortable rooms, well located for the station, helpful staff. I would highly recommend this place.

Lovely hostel situated on a beautiful old square right in the heart of Penrith but still very quiet. It is really well equipped, very friendly and accommodating hosts. The drying room is particularly useful! The apartment is worth knowing about if you prefer a bit more of your own space. Would highly recommend.

Really great place. Friendly and informative welcome. The room was spotless and loved the little lights, phone holders and USB cables rigged up to the bunks

What am amazing hostel. The whole place was very clean and tidy, the shower was powerful and hot and the staff were great. In the kitchen I liked the complementary tea and coffee and although we didn't cook I thought the tray of condiments was a thoughtful idea. We would definitely return
