朗斯代爾之家酒店(Lonsdale House)

We were a group of cousins with two dogs. The house was ideally situated for restaurants and pubs and walks. The owner was very helpful and responsive to any queries. We all thought it needed new sofas and please get rid of the animal heads !! The bar was great fun with 3 fridges and supplied with cocktail shakers etc. The kitchen was new and well stocked. Overall I would recommend a stay here. Thank you

Stayed over for two nights between December 22-23. What I love about this hotel = Car park, the friendly and helpful staff, its location. The breakfast is also good (esp. coffee and the fire egg) The room is beautifully decorated and we had 1 extra bed with an amazing view! ไปค้างมาสองคืน ระหว่าง 22-23 ธันวาคม สิ่งที่ดีที่สุด สองอย่างคือ การที่โรงแรมที่มีจอดรถ และอยู่ใจกลางเมืองมากๆ ห้องไมได้ใหญ่เท่าไหร่ แต่ว่าตกแต่งสวยงาม และจริงๆนอนได้สามคน เห็นวิวทะเลสาบจากห้องสวยอยู่ ตอนเช้ามีอาหารเช้า เป็น full English Breakfast กาแฟอร่อย สิ่งที่ชอบน้อยที่สุดคือ ราคา 555 แต่ว่าก็ถือว่าคุ้มน้าาา

Amazing place accommodates everyone including the dogs. We left our chargers and they happily posted them With no request for postage. We are repeat customers the breakfast is 5star. If you haven’t been yet. Make sure you get booked in. But not end of October. That’s when we go. Lol. Staff amazing x

We visit here every year and are just back from another great stay. We stayed as a family, the room is very clean, the breakfasts are lovely and the location ideal for exploring the area. Andrew and his team do a great job. Shame they couldn’t do anything about all the rain! We look forward to returning here again very soon.

We stayed here for 3 nights in a family room (room 5). The reviews beforehand looked very good and we were excited for our first stay in Bowness. The only positive I can think of is the location. It’s very close to shops, bars and restaurants. All within easy walking distance and a good selection to choose from. The shower also had a plentiful supply of hot water so another plus point. Prior to arrival we received an email saying we could not get access to the hotel or room prior to 3pm due to covid cleaning protocols. I had no issue with this and was glad to hear they were taking extra measures. Upon entering the room however it was clear that the room was far from clean. The room had a 4 poster bed but the wooden framework was covered in dust and the bolts in the frame were exposed. Behind the chest of drawers we found a large amount of dust, cobwebs and a pair of someone else’s socks! We also found a mans t-shirt down the side of the single bed in the room obviously left there by a previous guest. It seems obvious that the room had not been cleaned properly in some time. The rest of the hotel is very dated and in need of an upgrade. We found the beds to be uncomfortable especially the single bed and to be honest the stay was a real dampener on our trip. We hadn’t expected the Ritzs but there is no excuse for the level of uncleanliness we found. Staff at breakfast seemed friendly enough but were so busy and we were never once asked how our stay was or if everything was okay.

The hotel is well placed in Bowness with just a short walk to the centre where the bars and restaurants are located. There is also free parking tocthe front and rear but nuts tight, as you'd expect for a location like this. Staff are excellent and willing to help out anyway they can. Our room was fairly clean but we slept poorly. Mattress felt solid and I ached when I woke up, but it's not lumpy. This is probably just personal preference. Bar is pleasant with a good selection of bottles beers and wine. Cooked breakfast was fairly small but still very nice, with a decent sausage too! Also a good selection of cereal, fruits and juices.
