卡爾多納旅館(Parador de Cardona)

Fue un fin de semana estupendo. Le di una sorpresa muy grata a mi mujer llevándola. Lo que me desconcertó fue la decoración de las estancias. Me esperaba algo más acorde al lugar. Parecía una habitación de cualquier otro hotel. El restaurante y su servicio es excelente. Muy recomendable. En conclusión, una experiencia muy completa y satisfactoria!

The parador was really a beautiful place with a lot of charm and great views of the surrounding area. The castle had an interesting history and was well placed on top of the hill to defend it itself when under siege. The room was large with a large 4 poste bed and a good sized bathroom. The service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant was was a huge hall with large arches giving great atmosphere. The food was of very good quality and we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner. We were on a road trip and had stayed at a number of hotels but this one was clearly the best and in fact the cheapest. It was very good value for money.

This is a classic historic castle and perfect if you want to stay somewhere with real atmosphere. It’s been beautifully restored and a modern hotel is well hidden behind the stone walls. The reception and waiting staff are very professional and attentive. Just check restaurant opening hours, we stayed off season and they were only open for breakfast and lunch.

This was an incredible parador surrounded by spectacular views and fascinating history. Dining at the parador was really special - excellent breakfast and dinner. Service was excellent and the staff were really friendly. My only complaint would be that the beds are really very hard. If it's possible to add a topper to the mattress to make them more comfortable that would greatly improve the experience.

Castell de Cardona ligger på en høyde over den vesle byen Cardona. Vi hadde rom med fantastisk utsikt mot byen og saltgruvene (som er vel verdt et besøk). Rommet vårt var stort og flott møblert med bl.a. ei diger, deilig seng og to lenestoler. Badet var kjempestort og fint og hadde alt av nødvendigheter. Selve borgen er fantastisk, med murhvelvinger og ganger til å gå seg bort i. Vi spiste både frokost og middag på borgen da tilbudet i byen er noe begrenset. Maten var fantastisk, godt utvalg til frokost og flere gode retter å velge i til middag. Måltidene serveres i et rom som ser ut som det gjorde i middelalderen. Det finnes også en bar der man kan kjøpe drikke og lette måltider. Parkeringen er helt problemfri, der er flere små og en stor parkeringsplass. Meget hyggelig betjening. Det finnes ikke basseng på stedet, kun sauna og treningsrom. Men i byen er det et stort, fint basseng der man kan ligge på gresset og se opp på borgen.

Staying at el Parador de Cardona was an incredible experience! It is fully authentic and tremendously rich in the history and culture of Spain and Cataluña. Everything — the amenities, the service, the food, the views — were amazing. The staff was exceptionally professional and helpful. Our two-night stay was just what we needed to rest up from the flight from the US and to gear up for the more bustling environment of Barcelona. Touring the salt mine and just walking around the town of Cardona to soak up the atmosphere were also very enjoyable. Cardona and this parador are definitely worth the short drive from Barcelona!
