The hotel is located at a 5-minute walk from the El Calafate Bus Terminal and less than 20-minute walk to the main street of El Calafate, so it is convenient all around, though the roads are relatively rough so if you are travelling with suitcases there may be parts where they need to be carried rather than rolled along. Most tours can pick up from this hotel, and the tours that do not pick up from this hotel can pick up from another location that is a 5-minute walk from this location. Although the hotel is slightly less central than some others, it makes up for it in the quiet and a good night's sleep.
The hotel is new, clean and well-maintained. Breakfast buffet was varied and of good quality, with fresh scrambled eggs made to order from the kitchenette. There is no water kettle in the rooms but there is a boiler at reception area for hot water with teabags etc. Room and bathroom are both spacious and tidy. Receptionists spoke excellent English (for international travellers) and are very helpful in every way, including answering questions about the city and ordering lunch boxes for excursions / hikes.
