1、這家賓館靠近埃爾金的Tesco，位置其實很好，步行去High Street等也都很近，去教堂遺址遠一些，不過步行依然可達。 2、賓館在一個莊園舊址上，剛開車進院子門的時候有點驚到我了，環境很好。房間也特別大，床也很古典。設施和軟件都很好。 3、早餐就是傳統英式早餐，院子裏很大，非常方便停車。 4、這裏開車去斯佩賽等地區都很方便，住在埃爾金我覺得比住Dufftown更方便。

Our room was fantastic. A huge comfortable bed, armchairs and large TV. Luxurious bathrooms. The lounge area was beautifully appointed and we used it often. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Bella la mansion dall’esterno. All’interno tutto è trasandato e sciatto. Bagno minuscolo. Essere ospiti qui fa venire solo tristezza. Nessun fascino o sapore di antico. Piuttosto degradato. Occorrerebbe una ristrutturazione interna che sappia valorizzare l’antica casa. Troppo caro per quel che offre.

The mansion house used to be the best hotel in Elgin .. beautiful decor incredible indoor pool and steam room and jacuzzi with full gym facilities not to mention in house beauty salon and first class restaurant… well that’s all gone , it’s a pityful shadow of what used to be .. yes they still have rooms but everything else has been closed up for some years , it’s tired on the inside and run with a skeleton staff although very good , this hotel has been stripped back to below basic , I certainly will never stay again my friend stayed at the local premier inn , cheaper rates full restaurant and bar facilities, it’s a shame to see such a magnificent hotel so run down .

If Fawlty Towers were in Scotland and not Torquay.. Lovely looking building but probably many years past it's prime. Falling apart at the seams with faults easily found everywhere you look. No one on Reception on arrival. No one to show to breakfast table despite signage saying that we should wait to be seated. Dirty cleaning cloths and products left on breakfast serving table and no tables cleared during duration of meal. Quiet restaurant but single waiter hardly seen. No milk or spoons for guests. No butter with toast (which came very late and cold) . No condiments offered. Pool closed (falling apart), bar closed... No one to let us into room after key card stopped working despite several phone calls. (on call Reception staff eventually came - made it quite clear it sas an imposition and stated that we must be at fault!) Probably best to avoid..

From the outside this place is fantastic but on the inside it really is proper average stuff. It could be absolutely incredible but it’s not. Breakfast is so disappointing and the place is in need of a proper good clean. Nice and central though.

The hotel is very grand outside however could benefit from some refurbishment inside to bring it up to scratch. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was absolutely spotless. Excellent hot shower in the morning and a lovely breakfast with plenty on offer - served by the loveliest of staff members.

Manky smelly and damp staff didn't have a clue waited an hour for breakfast order very overrated heating was down so no hot water they couldn't even get a plumber in to fix the issue faulty towers would be far better ! No manager on site to complain to either

This is not a four star premises!! Don’t be fooled by the big sign at entrance. Very tired and needs a lot of upgrading and atmosphere. Stayed for three nights but would not stay again or recommend. Bedroom was very nice and breakfast was good. Well understaffed.

This is an average hotel, in what was once an amazing property! Checkin was good and the staff were friendly, unfortunately the hotel restaurant is permanently closed for evening meals, however they do serve breakfast. The hotel is generally clean however very tired and dated internally and in desperate need of significant investment to improve.

Excellent room and very friendly, helpful staff. Lyndsey and David make breakfast a great start to the day and thanks to the reception team. Once they get the leisure facilities back in action they will get this characterful baronial mansion house back to its full glory.

We paid a premium for this hotel based on the exterior as these are the types of buildings we enjoy. Receptionist and the barman are the same person so you have to wait if he is pouring drinks. The room we had was 19 and was large but unfortunately smelt like it was cleaned with bleach. He was good enough to change the room for another one which was fine but it did have a step in it which you had to watch out for. The Restaurant is permanently closed. We asked for suggestions for a restaurant that served roast meals with fresh vegetables. He suggested an Indian restaurant (not helpful). We drove around and ended up with Pizza, not so romantic. Breakfast was the standard fare with nothing to write home about. The interior furnishings did not match the age of the building but were modern bad copies of Victorian Antique furniture. The hotel needs a makeover with period furnishings to bring back some ambience. No one on site after 9pm. It seems to me someone has purchased this as an investment only to treat it as a rental property.

Absolutely not value for money, decor very tired carpets dirty , leak marks on bedroom ceiling. Restaurant was closed. 5 star price for 2 star facilities. Very disappointed , unfortunately I've deleted the photos I had from last year. 2 nights stay cost us almost £500. This was a surprise for my 60th birthday
