At first sight, the hotel is not as plush looking in reality when compared with the photos! The hotel is on the outskirts of Empuriabrava and has a strong Oriental feel to its decor and ambience. Our room was very spartan and in need of an update as it felt very 70's/80's with cheap wood furniture and fittings. The public areas also looked tired but everything was clean. The staff were very pleasant and helpful though and provided a welcome brightness to the place although they seemed hard worked as the receptionist seemed to double as the bar-tender....you get the feeling that costs are being cut to increase profit margins. That said, the hotel is well-priced for the area and so, if you want cheap accommodation and are only staying for a few days, Ampuria Inn has its place.

Appartement très simple, propre, certe un rafraîchissement serait nécessaire mais pour une semaine de vacances, c est parfait. Vaisselles au minimum (il est vrai qu'il manque des basiques style rape a fromage, essoreuse salade mais cela reste suffisant pour une semaine où on ne cuisinepas). Très bien. Personnel très gentil et professionnel , appartement très bien, on avait pris une chambre et à l’arrivée on a était « surclassée » dans un plus grand appartement avec une terrasse et une deuxième chambre donc rien à dire parfait. La vue directement sur le canal magnifique et très calme. Seul petit point négatif peut être la cuisine mal nettoyer par les anciens occupants, et le bruit de la hotte la nuit, mais rien de très dérangeant. Pas si près que ça du centre on a pris la voiture pour aller manger.
