La vue mer n'était que partielle. L'accueil moyen. Chambre avec balcon sale. Un lit d'appoint dans la chambre (chambre triple) qui empêche d'ouvrir la porte. Difficile d'accéder à la chambre car annexe de l'hôtel sans ascenseur. Petit déjeuner très tardif. C'est dommage car la chambre aurait pu être agréable !

A bit of a mixed experience. On the positive side the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, particularly those at reception and the restaurant manager and staff. Their hospitality was a highlight of our stay. We stayed in a garden room with a self contained patio. While the idea was great, the patio area could use some attention. There were weeds and two rusty chairs that should have been removed. One significant downside was the noise from a nearby bar which went on quite late and the rooms are not sufficiently soundproofed - we could hear the occupants of the room above walking around and using the bathroom. Although the room itself was clean, some areas needed better upkeep. The standalone oil-filled heater and parts of the paintword were very dusty and the shower room floor could have been cleaner (fluff/hair in the corners!). The bathroom bin and the shower door also needed attention. There was a coffee machine but no pods and we had to ask for teabags. The bedding was decent and the room had lots of shelving. Bath towels were not very big and no shower gel was provided. On a brighter note, the hotel is well suited for families, with its Pebbles Play area for children; it's near to the beach and there's a variety of (paid) activities opposite the back of the hotel such as crazy golf, go karts and a playground. Dinner at the restaurant was a pleasant experience with attentive staff and a varied menu. Overall this offers a reasonable no-frills stay for families. However, improvements in room maintenance could enhance the overall experience.

I was impressed by this hotel. We got a really spacious room which was well serviced. Fridge, mineral water, tea & coffee all present. Staff are friendly. Breakfast was good, but possibly some room for improvement. Wi-Fi a bit patchy. Lunch was very good. The hotel is really well located, in the centre with a 2 minute walk to the beach. Id definitely return.

Love The Ocean Sands Hotel. We stayed in room 121 at the very end of july which was very well appointed, clean and modern and very spacious. We have returned to this hotel many times and always enjoy our stay, from the hotel it's self with great parking, car charging facilities to the wonderful friendly staff to the lovely food. Can't fault it will be back . Thank you Ocean Sands a home from home.

We stayed for a weekend with our 6 month old baby. The first night of our stay, the fire alarm went off at 4am and went off intermittently for almost an hour. It was very scary and extremely stressful. We spoke to a manager the following morning, who offered €80 off our bill and dinner in the restaurant. We explained we wouldn’t be eating in the restaurant during our stay as we had family plans, so they said we would get an additional refund. We’ve still received no refund, neither the €80 or additional amount. Overall the service was unprofessional, unhelpful and disappointing. In addition to the fire alarm issue, we were put in a loud room near the elevator with a broken blind on check in so we asked to move due to our baby. The air conditioning in the second room was broken, and was never looked at despite speaking to the manager. The rooms weren’t cleaned well, there were hairbrushes from previous occupants under chairs in our room.

Nice hotel nice food menu bland enough. Ideal for older couples and very pet friendly. Not toddler friendly. Playground beside is 4euro entry. Ciara on breakfast was the only staff member I can remember that went out of her way to be extra friendly

The hotel was very comfortable.The food was delicious.Staff very friendly and helpful,room was spacious with good bed.Lovely walks along the beautiful sandy beach .Under ground car park very handy and secure.Over all a lovely short break.

From the minute we arrived, we were treated in an excellent manner. Over our three day break we were spoilt with excellent staff in all areas, and together with the excellent food at breakfast and evening meals not to forget the beach on our doorstep made our short stay so enjoyable. Our room was very clean and spacious, great shower and beds very comfortable. Lovely quiet town with some lovely scenic walks. Lovely hotel well worth a visit. Emma,Linda and Emily on reception are great ambassadors for the hotel as indeed all staff members were so kind to us. Looking forward to our return visit.

We stayed in a room with 3 comfortable single beds. It is not every place who cater for 3 people in a room. This was ideal. Lovely big room with plenty of space to move around. Staff were lovely throughout the hotel. We ate in the restaurant on one of the nights and it was superb. I would highly recommend this hotel for a weekend away.

We stayed in one of the apartments that had a fantastic view of the beach and ocean. Located in the middle of the town so everything is only a short walk away. Car-parking available on site. Hotel staff were friendly and approachable. Spacious living area and nice outside balcony to relax on and enjoy the scenery. A couple of minutes walk and you are on the beautiful sandy beach. Definitely one we would come back to stay at again.

Stayed here as part of a group tour. The only thing that spoiled the experience was 3 staff members who did not appear to want to work. Dinner choices were gathered before serving but not adhered to. Not organised. Asked girl in Coffee Dock on the Sunday morning for alternative milk coffee to which she replied that she did not have any. I told her that I just came from breakfast room and there was a supply there to which she replied that as far as she knew it was all finished. Thankfully there is a lovely cafe down the street with a good choice of eats and drinks with very pleasant and helpful staff.

We ate in the ocean sands bar on Easter Sunday snd we could not fault the food or service. Excellent menu, beautiful presentation and professional table service which is rare these days. Top class. Lovely casual atmosphere with views of the beach.

We stayed for 3 nights, and from the moment we entered until we left, we could not fault one thing. Parking is free in the underground car park entry to it is at the rear of the hotel. Check-in was quick. the lobby area was lively and very clean. There is a lovely Barrista in the front lobby serving teas, coffee cakes, etc. We had a room with a balcony on garden level. It was clean and tidy and everything we needed gor the 3 days Bar staff and restaurant staff are all very friendly and are all top class at their job with a brilliant moral among all the staff and they have a great way of dealing with the customers. Special mention to young Bobby and Mimi, whom we had the pleasure of dealing with. Head bar man and restaurant manager were on top of their game. All the food we had over the 3 days was excellent and very reasonably priced, and they definitely do not rip off their customers for food or drink, and that is something you don't see to often. Managent has this place running superbly and fair play to all involved. I highly recommend it and definitely will be going back. It's a great base for exploring Enniscrone, Easkey, Aughris Head, Bellek Woods, Ross Beach, Lacken Strand, and Downpatrick Head.

Myself and my children went for a Sunday meal on 24th of March . The experience in the bar was really good , waitress was very nice and polite ,meal was lovely as well,nothing to complain, was very pleased . It went downhill once we went to pebbles. The minute we came in, the lady said & take of your shoes in a loud( not polite voice ) no please or thank you, just a demand. I do understand we have to take off our shoes while in the soft play area,I don't think it should be allowed demanding taking of shoes while being in the little football pitch , health and safety- kicking the ball bare foot ? I don't agree with that , or just standing on the carpet, my son had to go toilet and once he was back , that lady ( black long hair) basically chased him shouting again - take of your shoes ! My son left that place crying and the rest of his day was ruined ( that's what he was saying all evening after we came back home. Not to mention that same lady was on the phone nearly the whole time which doesn't look professional especially while working in a childcare setting.The pebbles area is beautiful and kids loved it, pity we have got such am awful experience, no-one wants their children leaving upset and crying.
