Nice and clean room. Hotel has a Chinese restaurant which was excellent. Being in the main business district I thought it would be noisy, but it was not at all. Great hotel if you want to be in the central business district, good views too.

Hotel placed a $16,000 fraudulent charge on my credit card. I have traveled for business for over 35 years and have never before had an experience like this! Please know that while it says Marriott on the website, do not expect this hotel to operate like a Marriott. (In the process of disputing charge, have reported them to Marriott Corp., credit card company….

Nach unsere 3 wöchige rundreise durch uganda, wollten wir mal einen schönen letzten Abend machen und sind abend zur Portea Hotel gefahren. Ich hatte als Vorspeise suppe und mein Mann hatte gegerillte Gemüse die Vorspeisen waren echt lecker. Als Hauptgericht habe ich mir das teuere steak filelt gegönnt, es war die reinste Katastrophe, es war kein Filet sondern irgendein Stück Fleisch das so zeh war und nach nix geschmeckt hat. Die Champignonsoße hat nur nach Milch geschmeckt und überhaupt nicht gewürtzt. Mein man hatte ziege bestellt die war einfach nur zeh und trocken das man das nicht runter bekommen hat. Das essen haben wir so wieder zurück gegeben und haben uns bei dem Manger beschwert er hat sich nur entschuldigt und mehr auch gar nicht. Bezahlen müssten wir es trotzdem. Wirklich eine frechheit!!!!

Dieses Hotel ist perfekt für die Ankunft & auch für die letzten Tage. Das Hotel bietet ein sehr gutes Restaurant mit sehr sehr freundlichen Personal! Der Pool ist sehr schön & auch das Fitness bietet eine vielfältige Möglichkeit. Die Massagen sind auch sehr gut. Die Zimmer zum Viktoriasee mit Balkon sind praktisch & modern eingerichtet. Gute Qualität der Betten.

I recently stayed at the Protea Hotel in Entebbe and was left underwhelmed by what is clearly an overpriced offering for what you get. While the property is clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating, the overall experience felt cold, soulless, and forgettable. The hotel seems to lack any real personality or charm – it felt more like a transit stop than a place to relax or enjoy. The rooms and common areas, while tidy and functional, lacked warmth or thoughtful design, making the ambiance feel sterile rather than inviting. The breakfast buffet was average, offering a decent spread but nothing that stood out. Unfortunately, lunch was a disappointment – poorly prepared and far below what you'd expect from a hotel at this price point. In short, if you're looking for something with soul, comfort, and value for money, you might want to look elsewhere. The Protea Entebbe delivers the basics but fails to justify its cost with anything memorable or enjoyable beyond the essentials.

Super bel hôtel très bien situé au bord du Lac Victoria. Nous avions une chambre avec balcon et vue sur le lac qui était grande, propre et chaleureuse. Peut-être éviter les jours fériés, car l'hôtel propose un brunch et il y a énormément de monde et de bruit. La piscine devient une piscine municipale donc pas très reposant. Le personnel est très accueillant, bienveillant et efficace. Nous recommandons ce bel hôtel.

Fijn hotel met zeer vriendelijk personeel maar voornamelijk een groot compliment voor Maureen van de Spa waar ik een massage heb gehad van anderhalf uur (met scrub) Werkelijk een van de beste massages die ik ooit heb gehad! Als je in dit hotel verblijft kan ik zo’n massage echt aanraden.
