absolutely loved my stay at Ngoye Lodge. I stayed in the Lion Room, which featured a luxurious en-suite bathroom, a small kitchen, and a cozy study that allowed me to catch up on some much-needed work. The views from my desk were spectacular, surrounded by indigenous trees, with a host of chattering birds and monkeys providing constant amusement. The lodge is very quiet and comfortable, truly feeling like a home away from home. I parked my bike outside, ready to explore the many beautiful forested coastal walking and hiking trails. The refreshing pool in the courtyard is perfect for cooling off during the hot summers. The staff are incredibly accommodating, with Karin, the Manager, being a passionate custodian of the village. She is involved in every board and volunteer group and is a wealth of information about this fascinating little town. Karin even joined me in scouting routes and introduced me to local villagers. As a staunch environmentalist, it is important for me to stay in a place that upholds my environmental values. Ngoye Lodge ticks all the boxes in terms of sustainable practices. They encourage composting, indigenous gardening, and recycling while providing employment opportunities and skill development for the local community. The lodge is in the process of obtaining Fair Trade certification, which they undoubtedly deserve. The breakfasts, served in the charming garden, are to die for, with delicious and freshly cooked meals prepared by the chef. Ngoye Lodge offers an ideal location, great value for money, and a commitment to environmental friendliness. It is charming, beautiful, and clean. This is the best accommodation I have experienced in Mtunzini.

A lovely stay, very well-appointed rooms and lodge. Breakfasts were also delicious. Excellent setting.

I absolutely love this place. The whole setup from rooms, pool area and friendly staff make it a place you want to revisit. The breakfasts are yummy too. This was my third visit and have already booked our next one as well - looking forward to being back there soon.

It was only an overnight stay; we regret not staying longer! Beautiful place! Clean and comfortable, Will definitely book again and stay for a couple of days to experience the rest of the Lodge and the town.

The cottage was very comfortable and clean. There were a couple elements like an additional 2 dining room chairs needed and some maintenance issues but overall was very comfortable. It was located close to shops and a close drive to the beach.

Such a lovely place, beautifully furnished, comfortable rooms, big pool and lush gardens. Sebastian and his staff are friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend it. I think it would be the perfect place to book out for a group of friends or family

My stay at Ngoye Lodge was amazing from the time I checked in to the time I left. Hospitable hosts, clean and comfortable rooms and a scrumptious breakfast. If I’m conducting business in the area again I will definitely say at Ngoye Lodge.

We stayed in the lovely self catering unit with views over the garden and pool. It was very spacious and comfortable- everything we needed was there. It’s in a great location next door to Twigs coffee shop.

Ngoye Lodge is situated in Mtunzini and consists of a big house with 5 rooms, some with it own outside doors. It is really an excellent place to stay and I often use it for my tour groups. It is very comfortable, clean and good linen. The kitchen is fully furnished and there are everything you will need. Really a place to recommended.

We stayed here for 5 days and had a marvelous time. The lodge was spacious with plenty of room for 5 couples, and I’ve never seen such a well-equipped kitchen for self-catering. A delicious breakfast was served every day and the staff were very friendly and provided service with a personal touch.

This was the first time that we'd stayed at Ngoye Lodge, and it won't be the last - a quality experience from beginning to end: service, friendliness of staff, the room we stayed in (sleep quality, shower was amazing, well-appointed kitchen), breakfast, WIFI, location and outlook. Mtunzini is also a delightful coastal town with plenty of outdoor activities to keep one entertained and invigorated. Worth a visit!

We had a wonderful time staying at Ngoye and exploring the hidden gems of Mtunzini and surrounds. The staff were very friendly and helpful - they went out of their way to assist us, give us good ideas and information for travelling, and were very accommodating. Breakfast was simple but delicious - with a daily choice. The lodge is quiet, and tranquil and our room had more than enough space for both indoor and outdoor private chill. Thank you Ngoye! The only reason I gave an average rating for Service is because one staff member who dropped a small, but quite a significant, ball for us of leaving a surprise note and bottle of bubbles (for my account) for my husband upon arrival to mark significant milestones. We would definitely choose to stay here again if ever in this part of the country again.

This beautiful place has a peaceful garden. We got upgraded to the garden villa, which was very spacious and lovely decorated. The staff was extremly friendly and helpful. The delicious and fresh breakfast was served on the veranda. We highly recommend this place.

Stunning accommodation with a modern yet homey and comfortable feel, spotlessly clean and wonderfully managed, we enjoyed our stay so much!! This is the third time we are here and have only amazing things to say about this place😀❤️ Onika, Thandeka and Lukas are caring, thoughtful and super friendly and made our stay such a pleasure. Mtunzini is fabulous for birding with the Umlalazi Reserve a two minute drive and Ongoye and Dlinza forests are just about 30minutes away. You’ll just love Ngoye Lodge!
