The hotel's commitment to creating a peaceful environment extended to its accommodations as well. Our room was a true sanctuary, providing a blissful retreat where we could relax and unwind. The tastefully appointed interiors, plush bedding, and thoughtful amenities contributed to a restful atmosphere that allowed us to get a restorative night's sleep. We woke up each morning feeling refreshed and ready to embrace the day ahead. What truly set this hotel apart was its dedication to catering to families. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every member of the family felt welcome and comfortable. From engaging activities for children to family-friendly dining options, every aspect of our stay was tailored to our needs. The hotel even offered serene spaces for parents to relax while keeping an eye on their little ones, striking the perfect balance between tranquility and family-friendly amenities. Furthermore, the attentive and friendly staff added to the overall sense of relaxation. They were always on hand to offer assistance or provide recommendations, and their warm and genuine hospitality made us feel like valued guests. Beyond the hotel itself, the surrounding area offered plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities and exploration. We took advantage of the hotel's proximity to nature, embarking on leisurely walks and hikes that allowed us to connect with the peaceful surroundings. It was the ideal way to escape the hustle and bustle of the work world and reconnect with nature.

Situated next to the harbour it’s in a good location for views but Not much to do around Portimão. Hotel is clean, roof terrace is a lovely spot to chill out in. Food upstairs is a lot better than the food downstairs in the restaurant.

You couldn't pre book any electric trollies or buggies. When we arrived they had none available, only push trollies ( which cost €4 each. Not very accomodating. Cancelled our games for Thursday. There were 9 of us.

去到benagil cave很近 大概10分鐘車程吧 酒店整體是類似小型度假村 跟我在拉斯維加斯住過的有點類似 房間套房是一室一廳一衛 帶個小陽台 但是基本也用不到 房間客廳都很大 沒有嘗試餐廳和泳池 前台也很熱情 性價比高 推薦

Arrived Friday midday, pleasant and helpful reception staff, easy check in and hotel looked recently renovated with well presented and modern lobby. We unpacked into a large two bed apartment, three flatscreens and sofa, large fridge freezer and all accessories required for comfortable self catering. We spent a nice afternoon at a quiet pool among other families and couples (pool is freezing cold). This is where the good news ended. Around 5pm two coach loads of students descended onto the hotel with shopping carts (actual shopping carts) loaded with speakers and party signs. Our stomachs sank as did our 7yr olds, intimidated by rowdy youths in the elevator. I enquired at the front desk as to the situation and was met with the news that the party had booked almost the entire hotel out of rooms. The Flor Da Rocha sells the rooms as part of a student party package at various times throughout the year, see screen grab. The sequence of events is as follows; two coaches arrive mid afternoon, the lobby and swimming pool both flood with loud students and then the speakers appear on the balcony’s facing the pool area blasting music. Short lull when they dissipate to the supermarket for alcohol then from 9pm (when the families are settling the children) the noise begins again with shouting / singing / Macarena etc etc. people hanging over balcony’s with guitars, clapping and jeering. No intervention from hotel staff whatsoever. It comes as no surprise the in room telephone also doesn’t work when trying to contact reception. The fact Jet2 are marketing this hotel as a family friendly holiday is ridiculous. No sleep for a family of four for the first two nights of a seven night holiday. We selected Praia Da Rocha as a family friendly alternative to the usual stag and hen locations, what possesses the place to host a two day student bender is beyond me. Unfortunately, this is the second time Jet2 have let us down and we should’ve known better than to travel with them again. The rest of the week was fine although the students continue to come and go, fortunately for us the rest seemed to be athletes / youth groups rather than organised party goers. Given time and money has been spent to update the hotel it’s a real shame they choose to recoup this at the detriment to family and couple guests in an otherwise quiet resort.

We stayed at Placid Village for a week in early August, the complex is very welcoming and well maintained, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We always got a sunbed by the pool each day, there is no race in the morning and people come and go all day. I emailed a couple of weeks before our arrival to request an apartment on the top floor with a sea view (admittedly this is in the distance) and that is exactly what we got. We had a 3 bed apartment which was immaculate and very spacious, fully functional kitchen, two balconies, a real home from home and very well thought out. The walk into Carvoeiro takes around 10-15 minutes down the hill and usually got an Uber back up as cheap and plentiful. On the way into the town is a small mini market for essentials but if you want to do a main shop there are several supermarkets in Lagoa, (Intermarche, ALDI, Apolonia, Pingo Doce) which were less than 4euros each way by Uber if you don’t have a car. The only downside was one of the bedrooms had no hanging space of it’s own, just some drawers however there was a large wardrobe in the other two bedrooms and when we arrived nobody was in Reception, there is no call bell so just had to wait for Paulo to check us in which at the time felt like forever after you’ve been travelling for half a day to get there. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Placid Village and would definitely return there again.
