埃克斯河米爾酒店(Mill on the Exe)

We stayed one night in a river view room and would definitely return. The hotel is in a perfect setting, easy to get to, next to the river with beautiful views, but just a short walk to the city centre. Room was very comfortable and well equipped, hotel overall comfortable and well maintained. Food was great, good menu choices for supper and breakfast and good quality food. What really made our stay excellent was the staff. From the moment we arrived to when we left, everyone we met was welcoming and helpful. From the receptionist to the restaurant staff and cleaners, everyone went out of their way to greet us with a smile and offer help. Thank you Mill on the Exe.

The room was excellent and the bed very comfortable. The staff in the bar and restaurant were just great. Although we did not eat in the restaurant in the evening, we enjoyed a good breakfast each day we were there. The St Austell beers in the bar (sampled in the evening... not at breakfat!!) were in excellent condition. I'd happily go back.

The hotel is set beside the pub (The Mill on the Exe) in an adjoining building. One designated numbered parking space provided for each room. Stayed in a small double bedroom with a Riverside view room for 4 nights. The continous sound of the River Exe was magical and we slept with the window open to enjoy it. Bathroom was spotlessly clean with quality toiletries and plenty of white towels. Cooked breakfast was hearty and served with a smile in the pub dining room overlooking Miller's Crossing, the white suspension bridge over the weir. Dinner there also good and so you can enjoy the sound of the river and talk, there was no restaurant muzak - both thoughtful and atmospheric. I can recommend.

Everything was great! Very friendly, welcoming and professional staff. Amazing location alongside the river Exe (obviously!) and a great place to stay at within less than 10 min-walk from Exeter St David's station. Very comfortable bed. Very clean bedlinen and towels. Super powerful shower. Nice view of the river. There is on site parking for residents which is very convenient. Excellent breakfast with fresh fruit, many cereal options etc. Although I am not vegetarian I picked that cooked option for a change and only the sausages were not as excellent as the rest. We were even indulged with very fresh cooked spinach which were absolutely delicious. I am sure it looks amazing in the Summer and probably wonderfully cosy over the Christmas period.

Fabulous - couldn’t have asked for more. Amazingly friendly staff, room was lovely, breakfast spot on. We were staying for my partners birthday and I called ahead to have a bottle of wine put in our room which was done and they also put in balloons and birthday bunting which I hadn’t asked for - really nice little extra touch. Thanks to all the staff, we had a truly lovely stay and would absolutely stay again.

I booked because of the setting by the river and the room did not disappoint. Lovely view of the river and it was great to sit at the bay window and watch the sunset. The room was 8/10 for cleanliness but the bathroom tiles were a bit mouldy, just needed a good wipe down. The pub was very busy but we booked a table for dinner when we arrived. I was pleasantly surprised by the food: much better than your average pub grub that I was expecting. Our room was very close to the pub but even when it was full we couldn't hear a thing. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely book again.

Un trató espléndido, una gran profesionalidad. Hicieron nuestra estancia inolvidable. Las habitaciones son muy acogedoras, limpias y amplias. No lo esperábamos en el estándar británico. La ubicación muy cómoda para visitar la ciudad y espléndida para los atardeceres

Tolles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, super freundliches Personal und leckeres Essen im Restaurant. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Das Zimmer war sehr gross und geräumig, etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Dies hat jedoch nicht gestört. Wir haben noch gefrühstückt, haben das Angebot an Kaffee & Kakao im Zimmer sehr genossen. the Exe Mill liegt etwas ausserhalb am Fluss. Das City Center ist in ca 10‘ zu Fuss zu erreichen.

The location is great. Our room was lovely comfortable & clean. Our bathroom shower door was damaged so it was difficult to adjust the temperature of the water without soaking the floor. The shower head needed descaling too as the water was spraying everywhere. There were no tables for dinner so we had to go into Exeter to find somewhere to eat. The car park was full so my other half was unable to park until we came back later after dinner. staff were all very young and didn't engage with guests. It used to be a lot friendlier here during our previous visits.
