I visit this venue regularly.. The staff are helpful friendly and welcoming the food is delicious the rooms are clean I have previously also stayed in the cottage which is a truly beautiful English cottage experience. The surrounding scenery is spectacular I always look forward to visiting. Highly recommend. As a bonus easy to get to the Observatory and other attractions in the area.

Gastvrije plek met een heel goede keuken. Sfeervolle inrichting en vriendelijk personeel. Garden Cottage was ruim en schoon met fijne tuin om buiten te zitten.

geweldige locatie lekker eten in n pub waarbij je je gelijk thuis voelt. ontbijt geserveerd aan tafel is n heerlijke start van de dag.

Fantastisk og idylliske! Helt og aldeles vidunderligt kro/hotel i fabelagtige omgivelser. Alle på hotellet var yderst imødekommende og den glæde de havde sammen kunne man virkelige mærke som gæst! Super dejlig oplevelse.

Firstly on appearance it's beautiful, close enough to Kielder Reservoir and the town of Bellingham but far enough away to feel in nature. Robin the main man is friendly, approachable and his staff are also friendly and approachable. The atmosphere of the bar and lounge / restaurant can accommodate all different sizes of parties, and is warm and welcoming. The food in my option is and was exceptional in both look, taste and quantity. We had both the breakfast and evening meals whilst staying there. (All made by Robin). When it comes to the accommodation, we stayed in the "Cottage Garden" which was perfect, it sleeps 4 comfortably. The fully equipped kitchen, log burning fire (not used), bed rooms are all lovely, plus the toiletries from a company called Bramley smelled lovely. There are other different sized rooms available, but I can't comment on these. They are on the website to view). Everything was clean, and the value for money we experienced was perfect for us and we will be returning.

We rang in the afternoon to ask if we could park our camper overnight if we booked a meal. The lady on the phone was so very helpful. She even moved her car from her staff spot to a nice flat area to reserve it for us. We had 3 courses - the food was outstanding and reasonably priced. The service was excellent and I particularly enjoyed a chat/ joke with the young girl who took our payment. Exceptional service in a beautiful location - thank you!

Excellent high quality food at good price. Enjoyed a nice meal here as we were staying at the local Kielder Waterside lodges. Easy 10 min drive, highly recommend eating here if you are in the area

We had a great Sunday lunch here today. The food was delicious and plentiful. Fresh beautifully-cooked veg and the roast lamb and the beef were cooked to perfection. One of our group had lasagne and she said it was excellent. Desserts to die for! Cosy, congenial atmosphere and the staff were genuine, warm and friendly. Thank you so much. We'll definitely be back.
