On arrival, the receptionist was lovely and pleasant, and gave our son a packet of sweets and a fruit shoot when we arrived. However, the room we stayed in wasn't pleasant. We'd found a few ants crawling around but the window was open presumably after cleaning, so we thought it was just a rogue few! However, on waking up in the morning we found no less than 15 of them crawling around. On the floor & beds, on the shelves and table and a few in the bathroom aswell. We told the receptionist in the morning and he said he'd get it checked out. Such a shame as the first impressions where really good.

我的房間面向馬路，早上不到八點，卡車就開始隆隆地駛過。得知早餐只供應兩小時（7:30到9:30），我感到很失望。浴室需要翻新，水槽上甚至沒有混合水龍頭——要么是冷水，要么是滾燙的熱水。房間本身的裝潢還不錯，而且我深夜辦理入住時，工作人員也很友善熱情。

We normally have no problems with a Premier Inn stay. You get what you pay for however this is not the case at East Grinstead. Horrible experience from start to finish. Complete mix up with the rooms even though I had called and confirmed everything. Very grumpy guy in reception who wanted to make it very obvious he was too ill to help in anyway. Staff had no idea how to use the new booking system. Premier Inn please train your staff and let them take the day off if they are poorly!!

Damp dity room. The walls and ceilings are so thin. Creaking and banging when people move around. You open the door and are greeted with the smell of damp. Lots of damage in the bathroom and bedroom. Carpet stains everywhere. Dirt in every corner. Breakfast is aweful. All the pastries were hard and old. Didn't get what I ordered with the cooked breakfast.

Всё было шикарно, ненавязчивый но отзывчивый персонал, вкусная еда... Хорошая панорама из всех окон, идеальная чистота, в общем очень понравилось... Полный восторг! Приедем ещё раз обязательно! Советую всем

Standard premier inn. Very clean and comfy beds. Friendly staff. Unfortunately there is no aircon in the room. We struggled to sleep in 30 degrees family room with window opening an inch and a fan blowing hot air around. Lovely hotel, just not when the weather is hot.

Having travelled and stayed away a fair bit, this is the worst hotel I've stay at. The room was shockingly dirty. On entry there was an awful smell. It was later that we saw dried vomit staining all over the toilet exterior and spread over walls and the door. The window had been left open, probably to air the smell, in which case we shouldn't have been allocated the room. There were obviously other rooms available as we'd booked in advance and guests in front of us were offered rooms without pre-booking. I dread to think how dirty the floor will have been but being dark it was hard to make out. The carpet was dusty in areas and the windows dirty with large webs in the corner - this had obviously not been cleaned in a while. It was a sleepless night with the misty and stale vomit smell-a disgrace that this standard is considered acceptable.

Yes it's one of the older Premier Inns, yes it's a bit worn down, but for a one night stay while working in the area it was functional and fit for purpose, and, most importantly, clean. And the windows open! The woman on reception was lovely and friendly. The soundproofing is poor but I had a good nights sleep.

I stayed at this Premier Inn for two nights. Everything was very good, the room was comfortable. The bathroom was perfect, no problems at all. The Star Inn were very accommodating, the evening meal was delicious and the breakfast was really good. The only downside was the tomatoes which were inedible, two people had them over two mornings and they were rock hard the first morning and really impossible to eat and the second morning they were burnt and still hard, this is such a small point it would be nice if they could cook them differently. The rest of the breakfast was fine.

Good location, welcoming staff, clean room, bed up to PI's usual standard. Desk fan (which we needed due to it being hot weather) was filthy, probably not been cleaned since new). The hotel could do with a refurb, but is mostly kept clean. Evening meal next door was excellent. However the breakfast was unexpectedly poor (broken eggs, water on plate, mushrooms soggy slices not closed-cup, dry bacon).

Used thus hotel for an overnight stay, prior to an early morning flight from Gatwick. Location and price suited are needs. The Star Inn next door also provided a good evening meal. (See separate review). We asked and were allocated a room on the ground floor. Normal Premier Inn standard's. Only problem old fashioned bath with fixed shower head. Not very good for a good shower on the morning. Bed was comfy and staff friendly. Would recommend this hotel if flying from Gatwick. Also ideal for us as we dropped our car off at the nearby APH car park.

Stayed overnight to break up a long journey. Easy to find and good free parking. Efficient and friendly check in. Room quiet and large with a very comfortable bed and bedding. I would have given this 5 stars but the bathroom, although very clean, was in dire need of refurbishment, the bath was very worn, tiles cracked, and fittings a bit rusty. However would stay again.

Exactly what it says on the tin. Location was great as a base. Room was a good size with plenty of space for two. Comfy bed which means a great nights sleep. Staff were helpful and pote on checking. The Star Inn next door was good for food and drinks. There was plenty of parking.
