This might have been the most classy and tidiest motor lodge I’ve ever been to. It’s at the level of at least a 4 star hotel.

Not so quiet, but a clean, spacious, and modern spot. Cool vibe and well maintained. Easy self check in.

Fun and hip and a great price. I don't know for sure, but I feel like it was one of those old Route 66 hotels that's been vastly updated - hip with a vintage touch, and was much appreciated the full investment that was put into updating. Also, the bar at night was a great place to hang out after a day of travel. My only suggestion is to turn down the volume of the music a touch at night and WAAYYYY down in the morning. It was a bit much while trying to ease in to the day with my coffee in the lovely bar area. Also, maybe change the soundtrack for the morning. It was still a bit of a rockin' soundtrack from the night before (which I get what you're going for with the vintage ambiance) but, again, a bit jarring for easing into the day.

This hotel hit all the marks. Great cocktail lounge, good food, excellent service, good size room. Fire pits to warm up by. Really, it was charming. I will be back.

The room was spacious and clean and the staff was friendly. I found the property to be quiet and slept well. Was a good staging ground for my visits to nearby National Parks and National Monuments.

This is a basic, older motel that has been nicely upgraded and maintained. It's quaint and quirky and I found it delightful. The limited dining options are quite sufficient. It would be nice to have a night light as you enter the bathroom from the bedroom as the light switch is not right by the door to the bathroom. The location was convenient for the sightseeing we wanted to do. I would choose to stay at HCML again!

The common area is really nice, but the train noise at night and the $75 usd ($100 CAD) to use the sauna for 1 hour is way too expensive... especially since it was one of the reasons we decided to pick this hotel

This place will charm your socks off. Pluses are the use of a sauna which costs extra (cold plunge is the unheated pool) and the convenience of great food and espressos also with additional charges on site. Travelers should know that trains run all night and are very close by.

Adorable place. Very clean and has an upscale feel. The rooms felt big even though they were pretty standard. My only criticism would be that when the heater kicked on it was VERY loud; like woke up everyone in the room throughout the entire night. Not sure if it was old, not working well or what but it made for a restless night. The staff was all very friendly and check in and check out process was very easy.
