The Seabird Lodge was a mixture of experiences. The staff was excellent, answering all questions and coming to the room to turn on the heat -- always friendly and kind. The room was clean and had everything we needed. However, the carpet was very stained and showed wear. The breakfast was minimal, and they ran out of eggs about 20 minutes from the end of breakfast time, which could be because it was a busy holiday weekend. On the other hand, you can walk to either an American-style breakfast/lunch or a Mexican restaurant in the same parking lot. We appreciated the dog-friendliness and dog walk field right behind the lodge. I would return but get up very early to eat breakfast.

We were so impressed with the value of our stay at the Seabird. The breakfast was real food, the room was incredibly clean, and it is at a central location. Although some of the furniture is slightly dated, I would suggest this hotel for anyone visiting the area.

Stayed here Thanksgiving weekend with family and dogs. Reserved 2 adjoining rooms. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Centrally located to all our activities such as hiking and the headlands, watching the sunset and close to Seaglass beach. 10 minutes north of Mendocino.

The room and property were clean and the staff was great. Breakfast was fine, though pretty heavy on sweet carbs.

Not as pet friendly as I’d hoped. Indoor hot tub was nice until a large group of kids came into the pool area being loud and obnoxious.

Too bad breakfast wasn’t good. I got down to breakfast 1:2 hour before it ended. Lots of people came in after me. There was no milk for cereal and the hot food servers were empty. I told the man helping and he said he was thawing milk and he knew the hot food was gone! Unbelievable!

We reserved 4 adjacent rooms for our party of 10. After checking in we went out to dinner only to come back and realize that there was only power in the bathrooms and entry light. So no tvs or microwaves or room light. In 4 rooms! We wernt given an option to switch rooms either.

My husband and I went on a weekend trip to Fort Bragg to go on the Skunk Train Rail Bikes. We stayed at the Seabird Lodge. The Seabird Lodge was excellent. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the continental breakfast was very nice. We definitely would recommend the Seabird Lodge. And we will be coming back again.
