釀酒廠賓館(Distillery Guest House)

Dirty. Pillows, bed, everything is dirty. Thanks God we only need to stay one night. I don’t understand why it has got such high reviews. Dirty. I need to get to 200 characters so i’m gonna say it in italian: è sporco.

B&B’s can be small friendly places where you feel like a member of the owner’s family. This is at the other end of the scale. It’s large and impersonal like a small hotel without any homely touches. Our double room was small with the bare minimum of features and furnishings. It was however clean and the en-suite shower room was too. The towels and bed linen were clean and in good condition. The decoration throughout is tired and dated. We had minimal interaction with the staff/owner who was polite but didn’t encourage much conversation. Breakfast is served buffet style we did not fancy the cooked options so settled for cereal and toast. All the b&b’s in town seemed to be full so July in Fort Willian is high demand and high prices are charged. I’d prefer to stay somewhere else in future if I’m back in this area.

We were greeted in the car park by the very friendly gardener who opened up the outdoor storage facility for our touring motorcycle. We were then greeted inside by a friendly owner who checked us in. The room was comfortable and had what we needed. The room was near to the main road but any noise didn’t affect us as we were very tired. Breakfast was very good, as was the service. No doubt we would visit again in the future.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Place was clean, however very much in need of TLC. It’s very tired looking. Breakfast was terrible, self service however very cheap products used. Good location for train station & main centre. The owner didn’t really have much interaction with customers.

It's definitely a very nice place to stay in the Highlands. On the first day we would have arrived after the check in time 8:30 pm, luckily the boss of the B&B waited until our arrival after a short phone call. :-) The room was very clean and also nicely furnished. It was quiet in the room, you almost didn't hear the main road at all. The breakfast was excellent, you could have it put together individually and it was freshly cooked. The hosts are also very friendly and accommodating. They are always ready for a nice chat or a tip for an excursion. Another big plus is the large car park. Next time I come to Fort William I will definitely stay here again.

The guest house is spotless clean and tidy. Alex and Laura are lovely and helpful, the breakfast was gorgeous and beautifully presented. The guesthouse is in a great location. Would definitely stay again xx

Accueil très froid. Les chambres sont petites, dans notre chambre, chasse d'eau qui ne fonctionnait pas, les pattes qui servent à tenir les rideaux sont vissées directement et ont défoncé le placo. Les serviettes de bain ont la taille d'une serviette de toilette et les serviettes de toilette celle d'un mouchoir. Quant au petit déjeuner, franchement pas terrible, très peu de choix, le seul fruit qu'il y avait était du melon jaune pas mûr, coupé en morceaux et toujours avec la peau, pas de yaourt, et pour la partie chaude des œufs trop cuits, des saucisses surcuites ayant un goût de carton. Vraiment pas à la hauteur du tarif de la nuit ! Si je repasse dans le coin, j'éviterai sans aucun doute cette adresse.

We had a lovely welcome on arrival after our last leg of the West highland way! The staff were so kind, friendly, and couldn't do enough for us to make our stay comfortable and restful. They were highly attentive to our needs, with humour and warmth I would highly recommend this guest house!

Great wee place to stay, especially if doing Ben Nevis. Very handy and central. Place was clean, and tidy. Owners very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. I would have no hesitation in goi g back and if I go back to climb Ben Nevis, I will def stay here. Thank you.
